RedAndWhite
Hi All. I am reaching out to Clubs within the St Austell/Clays area that may be interested in taking on an Under 18's squad next season to compete in the Kernow Youth League. There is a big bottle neck of under 16 players who are not getting much game time at their respective Clubs which is highly unlikely to change going into next season. To avoid a high number of players potentially dropping out of local football the only option I can see is that a new squad is formed to represent a Club in the local area. Managers and Coaches are available to take the squad. An area for summer training has been sourced, we would just need use of a home pitch and facilities during the season. Subs can be agreed and arranged to register players for the 23/24 season. A full kit and training jackets would be needed but hopefully a sponsor can be sourced to fund this. If anyone knows of a Club who would be willing to support a pathway for youth football players into men's football it would be much appreciated. Any info, comments, suggestions or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance CRD
CRD
Good luck with this mate! You’re right that U18s is a vital age group for making the step in to open age football and the Kernow League U18 age group is a well run, competitive league. Hopefully there’s enough fwd thinking SWPL clubs in that catchment area with floodlights, that will be able to accommodate 2 Saturday teams and u18 home games on Monday nights. So you’ll be fending off the offers 🤞🏼 Dave Way Of The Park
