David Bray
Not good conditions under foot at present here in St.Austell, chances of playing at Callington must be slight, needs a massive thaw. Rain hasn't helped falling on a cold surface.

John Mead
Way down west, the temperature rose from -1 to +4 between 4.00 and 9.00am; no signs of frost anywhere at Penlee Park. After the last few days, it feels almost tropical! Charlie Farley

The Town Man
Wendron 3. Wadebridge 1. A comfortable victory in the end for Wendron after a closely fought 1st half that ended 2-1. Wendron really are an attractive team to watch and they make the most of the excellent surface at Underlane by passing to feet in all areas of the pitch and keeping possession seemingly effortlessly. In reality, they have been well coached, the movement off the ball is very good and they just make it look easy. A third goal for Wendron put the game effectively out of reach for Wadebridge although both teams had chances late on. Not a big crowd given it was a top of the table clash. Both sides would be good additions to the Western League next season. Special mention to two excellent wide men today. Josh Wood for Wendron and Ryan Downing for Wadebridge. Both were tireless and a threat all game. Excellent performance from Russel May in the heart of the Wendron defence as well. They've surprised me, and probably a few others too. I'd love to see them give the Western League a go! Scoffy

Really good to see Ryan Downing put in a great performance yesterday, as last time we saw him he was hobbling off after pulling a hamstring against us for Camelford. Wadebridge are a side full off talent and so many twists and turns yet to happen in what is turning out to be a very exciting season. All the best to Rower his coaching team and his squad for the rest of the season ⚽😊
