  • Dave Deacon changed the title to RESULTS - Friday & Saturday 2 & 3 December 2022

Helston came away from Barnstaple with all 3 points through a goal late in each half from Rikki Shepherd and Sam Carter. The win moves them above their opponents into 6th place.

They also had their debutant goalkeeper Kyle Moore to thank when he saved a 72nd minute Billy Tucker penalty!

Squad  looking strong as evidenced by subs bench today – Colwell, Elliott, Copp, Simmonds and J Bentley. Also a disciplined defensive performance which prevented the other former Helston player Stu Bowker from scoring on his birthday!

Torpoint 1-1 Falmouth

Dropped into Mill Lane for the first time in a while. Nice crowd and good atmosphere, it turned out to be an entertaining game. Ended up 1-1 largely due to great performances by both keepers.
Town just edged the first hour and went in front with a close range drive by Walker on 59. Torpoint equalised a couple of mins later with a fine finish into the corner by Dameral. Easy to see why he is top scorer in league, great link up play and shooting, despite Torpoint then really throwing the kitchen sink and dominating for last 1/2 hour Town held on thanks to resolute defending and several fine saves by the keeper.
Mom for me Curtis Dameral -Torpoint might have had a hat trick on another day.
