Way Of The Park
Sounds like it was a horrific injury suffered by Bath City's Alex Fletcher after 5 mins of their NLS match v Dulwich last night. From reading reports, he crashed head first into an advertising board and had to be rushed to hospital. He has undergone emergency surgery, and is now described as "critical but stable." Looks like Twerton Park (one of the more "characterful" old grounds) has pitch side hoardings that are fixed to concrete pitch side walls, not sure how many grounds at steps 5/6/7 in Cornwall have similar designs. https://www.devonlive.com/sport/football/football-news/alex-fletcher-suffered-serious-head-7800286 Tommy Matthews
St Darren
Illogan has concrete pillars about 4 foot for the line. Smashed my ribs on them a few years ago. Absolutely lethal. Fingers crossed Alex Fletcher recovers. Tommy Matthews
