Grassrootsgary
Polperro 0-4 St Dominick St dom gained ground on table toppers polperro as they won convincingly at killigarth stadium. the scoring opened after some early st Dom chances that went begging and starting to think it may not have been their day, Taylor Gerry picking up a loose ball on the edge of the box and finding a pinpoint cross onto the forehead of Kieran Prescott who planted his header into the corner. The second quickly followed when a Kieran Ryall free kick found the head of Harvey Barrett who glanced his header past the home goalkeeper. St Dom went in at half time 2 to the good and probably should’ve been more after missing those few early chances. Early in the second half a carbon copy of the second goal with the same outcome, Ryall’s cross finding Barrett at the far post who tucked away for the away teams 3rd goal. Polperro were limited to very few chances all game as the away sides defensive proved too strong and after a contentious penalty was awarded to the home side it gave them a glimmer of hope. The polperro number 10 denied brilliantly by Jamie Blatchford leaping to his left to save. The impressive victory was rounded off when Alex Jacob liked a loose ball up in the box to fire home and cap off a resounding victory for the Doms. Man of the match went to Harvey Barrett. Lifeintheolddog
Torpoint 0-3 Mousehole Developmemt Hopefully our last long trek for a bit after having St Stephen, Saltash, St Dominic and now Torpoint away all in the last month 😂. We started the match with only 1 player over 20years and played very well first half, an own goal from a corner and a determined finish from Toby Weeks saw us go in 2-0 up HT Second half we started as if the game was won and Torpoint put us under pressure for 20 minutes until we broke away and 16 year old Greg Eastman got his first goal of the season cutting in well and finishing. After that we settled and played better again but Torpoint kept pushing until the end. Game played in good temperament and reffed well, it will be nice to get back to league football soon, good luck to Torpoint for the season 👍 Luke Gibbons

Mousehole much better for the first half and probably could've had another if not for Westall in the Torpoint goal. 2nd half saw 3 great saves from the Mousehole GK. Torpoint left kicking themselves not to get back into the game before the 70th minute. Game effectively over with a goal from a short corner. Enjoy the Cup run and life in the West Division. Goals Galore
On 22/10/2022 at 21:31, Foul Throw 3 said: Do not concede free kicks to St Dom! Absolutely not, very clinical from set pieces. First time I've seen either Polperro or St Dom this season, both looked to have kept together their squads from last year with a couple of additions. I was expecting a closer game considering the position in the table and recent results, but St Dom were far more clinical and deservedly won convincingly in the end. The setup at Polperro is coming along nicely, possibly look to gain promotion for next season? I would say it's almost ready for SWPL football. Can’t argue with the assessment on the game, goals conceded at the wrong time killed us, including some soft ones. St Dom simply wanted it more and are too good a side to have a bad day against. It’s a case of small steps for us off the pitch, with money hard to come by (as it is for many clubs) and very few volunteers to help out with a gate, pitch, bar etc, we are a fair way off thinking about any sort of promotion yet. We also have a very small pool of local players at that sort of level, which, when combined with how many of our near neighbours pay their players puts things out of our reach for now. That said, we won’t be standing still and will continue to try to develop the club in a sustainable way. Floodlights at Killigarth would be the dream and I could die a happy man! MattP
Depends on infrastructure around power supply but I would think circa £100k. There is funding towards this available at step 6.
