somersetspur
After another classic Premiership game at White Hart Lane last night.Spurs have completed 23games in all competions, scoring 63 and concedeing 32,a total of 95 goals at the Lane so far this season. The average per game is almost 4.2.This is really top entertainment, and real value for money. We keep hearing about Ar5ena1,and the pretty football they play.So I have 2 questions. 1.Would you rather see your team scoring loads of goals,or playing great football and not scoring? [in an ideal world both would be nice. But you cant have both] 2.Is their another Premiership team can better those Spurs Stats?
Coopsie
More goals SCORED at HOME than any other premiership club. More goals conceded at HOME than even Derby County... Oh the joy's of being a Spurs supporter. Somersetspur, the answer to your first question is, Next season I will get to watch my team do BOTH of the things that you ask which we'd prefer to watch. LOADS OF GOALS and GREAT FOOTBALL. The answer to your second question is "NO" COME ON YOU SPURS.... Now I have to go and start to worry about Jermaine Defoe coming back to the lane to bury us on saturday afternoon. :(

Coopsie
or would you rather see your team in the champions league ? Four fifths of supporters of premiership clubs would like to see their team in the champions league sammo 66. Unfortunately there is a bit of a monopoly in existance at the moment but I don't think it will be too long before we see that changing.
sammo 66
i new i would get a response there coopsie . yes things are changing now mate and im old enough to remember the good old days when man utd and chelsea were crap .
Coopsie
Wait for the tirade of aggressive responses BUT I still think that Chelsea are crap. Considering the hundreds of millions that have been spent they are hardly lighting up the premiership are they?. By the way, in my last response about how the monopoly will soon be changing I was in NO way implying that it would be Spurs who would do this. To be honest I think there could be a few clubs looking to get in there. Clubs such as Villa with a bigger squad, Man City after HUGE investment in the summer and Everton are already knocking. I do think that Spurs are however the best equipped to try again after 2 close calls under Jol. We have the finances, we have a core of real class and we now have a top drawer management team to weed out the crap and bring in the quality that we need. somersetspur
Why ,when I try to open up topic for discussion about seeing goals or entertaining football,do people such as the so called Top 4 go on about Champions League.I could get into a rant about saying when did you last win it etc,but I wont because, everyone would like to be in Champions League, this topic was for all football fans of all clubs, pretty football or loads of goals? A One And A Six
As entertaining as Spurs are to watch, in terms of success in competitions and final league position in recent years (last ten to fifteen years for example) they have been a massive disapointment, especially considering their history and their previous European pedigree. In answer to the original questions, 1) Of course you want your team to score lots of goals but personally id rather see my team win 1-0 than lose 5-4. 2) Interesting Spurs stats and sure, Spurs are great value for money and always worth watching in terms of entertainment. However, check out the Premier League table, there are a fair few teams who are bettering Spurs efforts.

Two fifth places in succession before this season and maybe comparing our form in the league this season since Ramos took over would be a fairer analogy?. Coopsie
will spurs be another liverpool promise so much but fail to perform in the league If Martin Jol was incharge I would have to say "more than likely" BUT I'm absolutely overwhelmed with enthusiasm about the new management team we have in place. I honestly don't think that any player can "fail to perform" under Juande Ramos because they will simply be dropped or sold. Discipline and high standards will breed a successful mentality within the whole squad.
Guest postman pat
i like his attack minded substitutions.bent for king seems to be a regular occurance.5 up front in europe nearly worked. but keegan nearly won the league at newcastle with entertaining football spurs have a far better defence IF!!!!! they can keep them fit. this has to be the only reason they were able to sign woodgate a very gifted defender who is so unfortunate with injuries.as for king whens the last time he played for 90minutes these 2 alone could or should be the rock of englands defence. spurs have a lot to thank jol for. he laid the foundation for a lot of the good things at white hart lane now. he brought in a fair few young english players, yes ramos will take them on another level but! to break into the top 4 is the biggest step in football as every year these teams are in the championsleague the gap just gets bigger and bigger. as we all know money talks good result today coopsie i hope you did not score from another cross
Coopsie
good result today coopsie i hope you did not score from another cross As it happens I took a corner and it was headed back to me by a defender. The defence then started to rush out and I decided to dink the ball over the keeper from near the corner flag. It looped over the keeper and beyond the stansion for the nets with a defender heading it out after it was a good 2 foot over the line. I ran away with arm raised ready for my usual mooted celebration but to my horror the play was continuing and my goal was not given. ..

Coopsie
good luck in the semi final mate.do you know when it is yet? According to the Gulval forum it is "April 15/16th.. Jollys semi.." with venue yet to be arranged/confirmed. The general opinion seems to be that it will be played at Illogan or Holmans because they would be roughly half way between our pitch and TMS's pitch?. I'll obviously let you know mate.
