  • ECPL changed the title to Combellack Vehicle Recyclers ECPL Fixtures Tuesday 11th October

St Dennis 0 sne 3

Sne with 3 goals all in the first half Ross London with the opener after our defence lost the ball in the lights so to speak he controlled it using his foot hit his knee n somehow ended up in the net from the byline, bizarre finish to say the least but it went in,hats off to our keeper for saving his penalty a few mins later after I clumsily took him out in the box, lost my footing as he turned to shoot n caught him, penalty rightly so no arguments, their 2nd goal was fortunate from a corner a flick on in the box landed on a players knee which was then flicked in off off shin/boot no one could really see as happened so fast,3rd goal Dan parsonage beat the off side trap composed himself to delicately chip our keeper n it snuck in under the bar,no fault on the keepers behalf just a good finish.

2nd half 0-0 we had a goal ruled out for offside but kept plugging away n held sne to a draw, both sides had chances but none proved fruitful,we had a few new faces in which is good all the lads put a shift in n despite the scoreline we r moving forward, looked like a decent crowd for a Tuesday evening n hopefully they enjoyed the game.

Special mention for the ref Tom McCormick, easily one of the better ones we have had/seen this season didn't notice he was there for most parts of the game he let the game flow n played advantage to both teams where necessary n rather than make a big deal of decisions he spoke to players in a manner where no one spoke back to him out of term,no bookings or sin bins just sensible reffing so a huge thanks for that as it makes the games a pleasure to be in,also both linos were fair n done the job to minimal fuss.

Good luck to sne for the rest of their season thanks for supporting the club after the game n sweeping out the away changing rooms, top guys cheers.

Likewise, our referee Allen Johns had another very good game, spoke to the players all game and let the game flow, again, didnt notice he was there for most of the game and was happy to let his linesmen run their lines.

Makes it so much more enjoyable regardless of the scoreline when you have refs like that.

Watched the St Dennis v St Newlyn game and thought St Newlyn were dominant in the first half and if it wasn’t for Ryan Holland in goal for St Dennis making 3 or 4 great saves SNE could have gone in at HT with 5 or 6 goals. Impressed with The young left winger for the visitors who was a constant threat everytime he had the ball.
Second half was more even but thought overall St Newlyn were deserved winners.

Well reffed by the man in the middle
