GSM Utd 3 Holywell & Cubert 1

GSM dominated for the first minute and had the ball in the net on 5 mins when Jason Busby collected a Stephan Floyd-Norris flick on from a Charlie Andrew long throw, before turning and firing home from close in. Celebrations were cut short by the lino flag. GSM continued to create chances but couldn't find a way passed the Holywell keeper. Jason Busby firing against the keeper's legs when clean through and the keeper doing well to tip a Nick Webb free kick from halfway that landed in the 6-yard box and almost bounced over him. Arron Moyes then crashed a free kick off the bar from the edge of the area as GSM pushed for the opening goal. More chances went begging as both Jason Busby and Hayden Cawrse weren't able to break the dead lock. Jordan Roger went close form long range with the Holywell keeper doing well to push his shot wide of the post. GSM finally made their superiority tell when they took the lead on 30 mins. A clearance was taken by Nick Webb who dropped his shoulder and drove down the left before delivering an inch perfect cross to the far post for Jack Cawrse to power home a header. GSM went 2 up on the stroke of halftime when Jason Busby laid the ball off to Jordan Roger who fired the ball in off the post.

Holywell were given a lifeline at the start of the second half when a missed placed pass in midfield allowed the Holywell 9 to get in down the right and lift his shot over Reehan in the GSM goal. GSM took control again and push forward. Chances going begging before they were awarded a penalty when Hayden Cawrse was brought down in the area. Up stepped Charlie Andrew but his penalty was easily saved by the Holywell keeper. GSM restored their 2 goals lead shortly after when Sean Johnston drove forward from midfield before releasing Hayden Cawrse, who slotted home. GSM thought they had a fourth on 70 mins after the ball was forced from a corner, but the goal was ruled out for a foul on the keeper.

GSM failed to add to the score line but maintained their unbeaten record.

Thanks to the stand in ref and linos. Good luck to Holywell for the rest of the season.

MOM - Hayden Cawrse

Losty res 1 st eval 2

losty denied a well deserved point by an awful call by the referee a penalty was given for handball from my view it was outside the box and the lads arm was tucked in as close as possible. Credit to st eval who played well and got back in the game with a good goal after a Fantastic pass out their winger through

Good game overall but massively disappointed with the result we go again
