Mousehole 1 Barnstable 1, not a great game two great shots for the goals the only thing to shout about, Barny hit the post late on and then the seagulls had a great chance but the keeper made a fantastic save. Draw a fair result neither side deserved to lose but neither deserved to win it. Really good performance by the ref, only 124 in attendance.

124 isn’t bad for a small village ?? Don’t know what you expect ???

We got our first ever Western League win!

Western League Premier Division
Torpoint Athletic.        (1) 2
Shepton Mallet.           (0) 1
Att: 153
Torpoint goal scorers:
Curtis Damerell 45, 67

Up the point 💛🖤💛

Watched this one today.Torpoint thoroughly deserved the win.Two little moans on the day ,the first was the Shepton manager/coach running 20 yards onto the pitch to kick the ball to the goalie every time he thought the game needed speeding up...The ref did nothing about it.The other moan (and I really dont want to be a killjoy) the youngsters playing behind the fence repeatedly having their ball come onto the field.Play is disrupted every time this happens.Last week was the same. This week the ball hit a spectator stood beside me in the side of the face. Not pleasant for him.It was plain to see what this win meant for the Torpoint team at the final whistle.Well done.

Fantastic victory for you against the in form Western League team - congratulations from a Mousehole fan (Curtis doesn’t happen to have any relatives in Penwith he fancies meeting up with every fortnight or so has he 😉 ?)

He probably has contacts at Penzance  where Mark Dammerell used to ply his trade.

Curtis Damerell has developed into a top class striker (sometimes wonder if he was discarded by Parkway a bit early).

Are you having doubts about the current Mousehole forwards?

My tongue was firmly in my cheek (but also Curtis Damerell is the best opposition forward we’ve played against this season).
