Brislington appeal

Recommended Posts

Reading todays press it appears Brislington could be re instated back into the Les Phillips Cup after their Quarter Final victory over Truro City.

The player in question Russell Church was alleged to have been cup tied playing for Almondsbury v Dawlish in an earlier round before being transferred to Brislington.

According to the players father he did not play because of injury that day and was spectating with him and his grandparents.

He has four letters of support (one of which from a participating player that day) which have gone to an F A appeal.

It looks as if Almondsbury illegally submitted him on the team sheet and was picked up by the Western League which make Brislington innocent of the issue but in hindsight any players signed during the season should have had clarification of illegibility, between the club and the League.
