Illogan 2, Helston Res 6

Recommended Posts

The heat was vicious. The result was disastrous.

Up the slope Illogan went in 3 - 1 down, a goal on 13 being equalised on 20 but then further goals on 43 and 45+2 put Helston in charge. They had played the better football with better passing and better shape. A close-range tap-in on 58 made it look as if Illogan were going to get something out of the game and a phenomenal save by Wyatt on 60 looke like it was a game-changer.

Not so, though, as Helston added further goal on 63,67 and 76 mins. From winning the league last season they have a long way to climb. St Day visit on Tuesday and the timing couldn't be worse. Illogan need to start playing football.
