Start of the season already? Really?

All the familiar faces back again, plenty of banter and catching-up. No tea-hut, though, but of course the bar was doing a roaring trade!

The better side won. Falmouth were nippier, more mobile, intelligent running off the ball and took their chances. Illogan huffed and puffed but didn't have an answer to Falmouth's speed and inventiveness.

Goals came on 10, 63 and 90+2. Town were kicking down the slope first half and you'd have thought that Illogan would have made more of the 2nd half but it wasn't to be. Think it was 2 - 2 on hitting-the-crossbar. Never mind: things can only get better!

£1.50 entry for old farts, so no change there.

Agree - great first game of the season Falmouth played really well together as a team with some really good first touch moves and a lot of pace.
Illogan competed well as always but Falmouth were very quick out of the box and maintained a high standard throughout - I’m sure that Illogan will still have a very successful season.
