South West Regional Women’s Football League: 2022-2023 Season

Recommended Posts

PREMIER DIVISION

Liskeard will be Cornwall’s sole representatives in the SWRWFL Premier Division this season, up against Bishops Lydeard, Bristol Rovers, Forest Green Rovers, Ilminster Town, Poole Town, Royal Wootton Bassett Town, Sherborne Town, Torquay United and Warminster Town.

This is going to be a really tough league this year with newly-promoted Bristol Rovers and Warminster Town and last year’s second placed team Ilminster Town all expected to give Liskeard a real run for their money, but Liskeard’s goal machine Chloe Williams will strike fear into the heart of every other team’s defence.

Liskeard start the season at home to Forest Green Rovers on Sunday 4th September.

WESTERN DIVISION

Saltash United and newly-promoted Sticker will compete in the Western Division this season, alongside Activate, Bideford, Budleigh Salterton, Feniton and Marine Academy Plymouth.

Feniton will probably start favourites but Saltash finished last season strongly, the only team to beat them in the league from mid-November onwards being … Feniton. Sticker had a fantastic season in winning the CWFL 1st Division (W14 D1 L1) so can’t be counted out.

Saltash start the season away to Bideford on Sunday 4th September, with Sticker at home to Marine Academy Plymouth on the same day.
