Well fought win for saltash with a worldie from Harrison Davis to make it 1-0. Shortly after half time Clevedon equalised. Charlie elkington then put saltash back in the lead before a controversial red card for ashes captain Dave barker. The red card certainly debatable as didn’t appear to be the last man and appeared to win the ball, but many down the opposite end to me said it was in the box and should have been a penalty as opposed to the free kick the ref gave. Ashes eventually held out to gain the victory. Clevedon certainly a typical western league side long ball and complaining/appealing for Every decision and rolling around for every free kick.
On a sour note after the game seemed to be a saltash fan (wearing a red shirt and had a walking stick) arguing and shouting abuse at another supporter whilst in the main stand, as the man he was shouting at was a parkway fan and came to watch saltash today! Not the most welcoming  environment especially as there were young children around.
But at the end of the day a good result for the ashes.

Can be a funny lot the Saltash fans in that stand . All sit in same place most been going there for years . They shouldn’t be causing any sort of hostile atmosphere the club are desperate to get more fans and locals through the gate and that’s not going to help at all.
On the football front that a good  solid start for Saltash think that team will get better as season goes on.
