razor61
Ladies sign off with win For what was their final game of the season Sticker Ladies travelled to play Penryn and after a hard-fought match signed off with a win. Penryn could have easily taken something from the game though, they competed throughout and created chances; the first real chance of the game fell to the hosts but saw their effort crash back off the cross bar. As they have done all season Sticker showed great character and took the lead, Wenna Albury had gone close on a couple of occasions, but talented Nelinha Barros made no mistake soon after to fire the visitors if front. Following the break Penryn responded immediately to draw level and a midfield battle ensued, Kirsty Nancarrow showed great strength to hold off a defender and rifle home a fierce shot to restore Sticker’s lead. Barros grabbed a third for Sticker, but Penryn bagged a second to make it an uncomfortable last few minutes for Sticker. Star player for Sticker was Nelinha Barros, two goals and a powerful midfield display. Team: A.Robinson, J.Smith, J.Martin, J.Butterly, K.Butterly, M.Albury, N.Barros, C.Higman, J.Hitchings, A.Richards, A.Trudgeon.Subs:K.Nancarrow, G.Liddicoat-Mills. Gary Hocking
Excellent report on Sticker’s last League game, but there’s still the League Cup final vs FXSU to look forward to on 22 May 👍 Thecupfootballblogger

TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
A draw would have been a fair result on this with Penryn playing the whole match with only 10 players! Good game though with a decent bit of skill on show from both sides. Gary Hocking
razor61
The score may have different if we had our female Jimmy Greaves playing Older but alas she is injured! We are all hoping she will be fit for the final!
