GaryHocking
Massive congratulations to St Austell who have been promoted today to the women’s national league following this afternoon’s win at Forest Green Rovers. Next season St Austell will play in National League Division One South West, joining the likes of Southampton, Swindon, Cheltenham, Bournemouth and Exeter - a huge achievement for a team from a small town in Cornwall. Congratulations to all the staff and players - and good luck for next season. Cloughie, Thecupfootballblogger, Toroloco13 and 2 others

A big well done to Helston from me though...enjoy the ride. GaryHocking and Keith B
Postman Pat
Great to see the women's teams progressing up the league ladder. This will be fantastic for future generations if clubs can keep this going, just like in the men's with 6 teams in the Western league next season. Football in Cornwall had never looked healthier standard wise. Hopefully this will encourage more young players into the game. GaryHocking
To clarify, it should be Liskeard who take St Austell’s place in the South West Regional Women’s Premier Division having secured the Western Division title yesterday, Sticker who take Liskeard’s place having run away with the Cornwall Women’s League Division One title, and Foxhole who take Sticker’s place having won Division Two. Thank you Gary, we are trying to follow the ladies teams progress, but we haven't got a grip on the different leagues as yet.
