Meva 2 Losty 3

Possibly our best result of the season and a rock hard pitch against a good meva outfit. Always good to see John Raikes the Meva manager and he started in goal for Meva today and pulled off a worldy save from Tom Mileham but damaged his thigh and had to be replaced. We raced into a 2 goal lead and held on to the HT whistle with Chappers missing a pen for the hosts. Chappers scored early in the 2nd half and put Meva on the front foot. Soon it was level when an own goal made it 2 all. Both sides went in search of a winner and Ben Webster with his first senior goal gave us a lead which despite concerted Meva pressure we held on to win. An enjoyable afternoon and well done to all involved.

Cheers Bill.

Facilities passed  told too finish top 4

Not correct, they will still need to be voted in ECPL AGM.

Not so there is an arrangement with the duchy league that ecpl will only take 2 teams a season. So that would be the top of each division.Having said that the county FA will decide in the end.Currently ecpl have 13 constitution says 16 that can only be changed at an agm .There will be promotion subject to ground grading for 2 from the ecpl to st perrins. No regation from st perrins and with st cleer now becoming liskeard,i presume they may well try to get into the st perrins then could be looking for Summary 13 now losing 2 maybe 3 leaves 10 so could need 6 from somewhere.Complete mess .Stay as 14 promote 3 2 from duchy and probably and then chuck the rest in the mix.The mix will include wadebridge town who are an under 18 but do have a nice ground just saying.

in conclusion at this moment st coloumb lanivet polzeath southgate north pertherwin are not in the ecpl.

It always amazes me that at the end of a season, there's differing suggestions as to how many get promoted/relegated!

Same, it’s shared with Club Secretaries at AGM when the leagues are set up, they don’t always send the information down to player/manager level.

Didnt Holywell & Cubert get chucked out for this?

Also don't Polperro have two sides?

Holywell did it 3 times and this was Polperro's 2nd time. They will be on their last warning i would imagine like Holywell were!

It is incorrect to say that the CCFA have any input into who gets promoted at this level.  Their only involvement would be if a decision was made at the AGM which was unconstitutional and an appeal was lodged.  Providing that the ECPL rules comply with the Standard Code Of Rules (which they should) then Rule 2b will state that the league constitution is not more than 16.  That doesn't necessarily mean the league has to be 16 strong.

Two will be promoted as of right to St Piran subject to ground grading.  There may or may not be a vacancy after that depending on decisions made by the FA and at that point the remaining promotion candidates will be taken as applicants to fill that vacancy.  St Cleer becoming Liskeard Reserves gives them no greater or worse prospects in that respect.  There is a scenario where there could be a club relegated from St Piran to the ECPL but that will be decided by the FA Leagues Committee when they determine the constitution of the SWPL.

It really needs the CFA/FA to set a structure for sub NLS and then allow the committee(s) to run it. It’s the constant post season interference that causes the uncertainty.

The CCFA do not interfere.  The leagues may seek guidance on what they are proposing to give surety but other than that it's up to the leagues to determine their promotion/relegation matters (not St Piran though where NLS regulations apply for filling vacancies and a few other bits) and providing those decisions are made in a constitutional manner there's no need for them to get involved.
