Robin Tucker
As my 28th season, as a match official, in open age football (33rd in total) comes to a close, i would like to thank all the players, managers, secretaries, groundsmen, volunteers and fellow officials for all their hard work and dedication in a season that has brought many challenges. Without everyone involved in grassroots football giving their time, there would be no game for us to enjoy - whether taking part or watching. Without the hours of dedication from groundspeople there would be no pitches to play on. without the CCFA, appointment officers, league officials, etc there would literally be no game. without Dave Deacon and Rappo, and the rest of the moderators, there would be no forum, to keep us up to date! We may not agree with everything that we see or hear, but remember everyone is taking part at grassroots level, and not elite level! Players and officials will make mistakes, they are all human! I hope 2022-23 will be a great season. Good luck to you all Thank you - One and all - for giving your time to let us enjoy the sport we love RAPPO, TheolderIgetthebetterIwas, Gary Hocking and 4 others
