I watched Sticker beat Culdrose last weekend and Saltash Borough beat Helston yesterday and I’d agree that on current form Saltash look the stronger of the two - seem to be able to score from anywhere, a hard-working and solid looking defence with a good keeper behind them - but two of Sticker’s remaining three fixtures are against bottom-placed Callington and I suspect that will see them over the line.

Chloe makes her point

Saltash Utd Dev 1-1 Sticker

The home side made it an uncomfortable afternoon for table topping Sticker Ladies and took a deserved lead in a first half where the visitors found the hard bumpy surface difficult to adapt to, unable to find any sort of rhythm. Full credit must go to Saltash though, they didn’t allow Sticker the space and time they wanted, but sticker began the second half much brighter playing in a 3-5-2 formation they were pressing higher up the pitch. The hosts looked like their hard work and effort would pay dividends and inflict a second defeat of the season on Sticker but a super strike from Chloe Harris from distance gave the title front runners a point on the road.

Star player for Sticker was Chloe Harris who secured a precious point with a quality strike and along with Jade Martin formed a strong central defensive partnership.

 Team: B.O'Brien, J.Smith, C,Harris, K.Butterly, A.Richards, J.Martin, J.Hitchings, C.Higman, N.Barros, M.Albury, A.Trudgeon. Sub.K.Nancarrow.
