Ian Pethick Posted March 10, 2022 Report Share Posted March 10, 2022 Still find it strange that the betting allegations against the Truro City players (who were all of course team mates of Sullivan at Taunton a few seasons ago), isn't being talked about. He is the second current Taunton player to be suspended after Ollie Chamberlain was previously hit with a four month ban and fine. Chamberlain was found to have bet placed bets on opponents in two league matches he played in. Read that the FA are investigating rules breaches at five different Southern League clubs. Puzzled by the reaction on the Taunton and Tiverton Twitter pages to the bans for Wright and Sullivan. The Tiverton one in particular talks about it almost like he's a picked up a long term injury ("we offer him our help and support, and look forward to seeing him back."). With six of the players named all playing together for Taunton when these alleged offences happened, you have to wonder what was going on at the club with regards to culture and management. Isn’t the guy who was managing all them players involved now involved running helston and brought Matt wright to helston even tho it must have been known he was looking at big ban. INCIDENT OF MISCONDUCT IN RELATION TO BETTING Andrew Neal, Player, Truro City FC Breach of FA Rule E8 - Misconduct in respect of 202 bets placed on football matches between 08 March 2015 to 13 September 2019.
