razor61
Leaders Close In Helston Dev 1-12 Sticker Ladies League leaders Sticker took a step closer to claiming the league title after a dominant display at Helston on Sunday. In-form striker Tori Marks struck a low range effort into the corner of the net, only after a bright start from their hosts but with the visitors had taken control driven on by the hard-working Abby Trudgeon and Kirsty Nancarrow. Marks pounced again to double Sticker’s lead with Jodie Smith grabbing a third soon after, although Helston were creating chances for themselves but couldn’t quite find the final product. Annie Richards was a creative force in the centre of the park for Sticker and bagged a double for her efforts as did Trudgeon while Marks capped a star performance ending the game notching seven goals in total. Helston grabbed a second half consolation goal with a neat finish across keeper Brogan O’Brien who had otherwise put in a faultless display but Manager Andy Hoskin will know it’s performances at this time of the season with pitches and weather conditions unpredictable which wins titles and this potentially tricky test was passed with flying colours. Team: B.O'Brien, M.Albury, J.Smith, C.Higman, J.Butterly, K.Butterly, A.Richards, A.Trudgeon, K.Nancarrow, T.Marks.
