Friday night football at Priory Park.

Bodmin 1 Liskeard 0.

Karl Turner scored the only goal in a drab encounter tonight, finishing off from close range in the 52nd minute after Liskeard keeper Simon Zinn had spilled a Steve Ovens shot.

Turner had come on as a first half sub for Shaun Manley, who had to go off with a cut forehead.

Paul Baker hit the bar against his former team, while Zinn pulled off fine saves to deny Danny O'Hagan and Baker in one-on-one situations.

Not sure what the crowd was Mike, but I have to say the atmosphere wasn't particularly fantastic.

When Bodmin scored, hardly a whimper!

Cut injuries to Shaun Manley (Bodmin) and Steve Sims (Liskeard), separate incidents - both having to go off.

And at one stage Liskeard had both their central defenders off the pitch receiving treatment :o

Not a convincing performance from Bodmin, but three points all the same!

There was a good crowd, yes, and it was good to see so many young people there.

I agree that every club should try the occasional Friday night game.

Unfortunately, the game didn't live up to the occasion, although Bodmin won't worry too much about that.

They were without some stars last night - Sean Flynn for example - but they got the points.
