Lostwithiel res 1 delabole United 0

not a pretty game definitely not one for spectators. Hard work Grit and abit of luck got losty the points this afternoon. Long grass made it a very direct affair but the boys dealt well with it defensively and going forward

young Ben found our goal with about half an hour to play a close range finish off the post. Delabole mostly hit from range which our keeper dealt with all afternoon

2 wins on the bounce for the boys

Grampound 2 - Boscastle Reserves 2

Line up: M Seldon, D Hambley, J Seldon, C Crook, T Lyle, G Setiawan, R Nute, R Williams, M Parsons, J Strout, M Jolliffe. Subs: M Barrett and M Heard.
Boscastle started the better of the two teams and took the lead when a flick from Strout fell into the path of Parsons who drove from near the half way line straight through the defence and slotted between the keepers legs. The lead was doubled after a neat pass from Setiawan through to Jolliffe who raced away and rounded the keeper to tuck away into an empty net. Grampound clawed their way back into the game after some very strange decisions from the man in the middle. The ball had clearly gone out on the touch line. Grampound carried on and a tangle in the box ended up with the ball in the net. Not sure how this was missed but we should have played to the whistle and this wouldn’t have happened. No matter how obvious the ball being out. To further compound our misery the ref then awarded a penalty kick to grampound when Crook slid in from the side clearly winning the ball. This was dispatched neatly. 2-2. This is how the game finished. Both teams kept going for a winner to no avail. Best chance actually falling to grampound against the run of play which the striker blazed over.
MOTM: the home keeper. Had a great game and I don’t think he dropped a ball all game.
