Gunnislake 2(1) Redruth United 1 (1)

Well done to the home team took the lead after 2 minutes from a defensive error. Redruth equalised on 14 with a penalty for handball. We hit the frame of the goal a few times but could not score.

Second half again we played some good stuff but could not find the net. They scored  with a towering header from a corner  15 from time and we could not get the goal needed.

We had 3 16 year olds and one 17 year old play today and they all played well and did not look out of place

Good luck to Gunnislake in the next round

St Dom 10 Perranporth 0

Another 5 star performance from the Dom’s with 5 players missing.

Kieran Ryall with 5 grabbing  the headlines, but this was another outstanding team performance.
For a small village we are really excelling ourselves, and it’s proud as a committee member to be part of.

We wish Perranporth all the best for the remainder of the season.

Also congratulations to our local neighbours Gunnislake who also made it through to the quarters, which made it a great day for the Tamar Valley.

Illogan RBL 1-0 Millbrook Res

"He's beaten his man......he's cut inside........he shoots......it's there, weve won!"     And so, with the last kick of the match, deep into added time, Roy of the Rovers did again, sending Illogan RBL one step nearer to Wembley. (The story is true, only the names have been changed to protect the innocent).

Not much else remains memorable from this game of long balls and misplaced passes. Both teams managed a disallowed off-side goal and a couple of near misses. However. Illogan would surely have won the game earlier if only they had someone who could head the ball on target when well placed.

I think it was safe to say you hit the post and crossbar twice in the first half which could have put the game to bed. Those youngsters that you had played tremendous. Especially the young lad who got injured late on. We had 1 16 year old and 1 17 year old in our starting 11 along with another 17 year old on the bench. Best of luck for the rest of the season. Very enjoyable game to be involved in! 👍🏻
