Perranwell 0 Redruth United 3

Redruth took the lead through Dan Bowman shooting through defenders legs to find the side netting for a good finish. Got the second just before the break with a well worked team goal playing Dan wide on the left who crossed hard and low to foot end an own goal.

perranwell came out for the second half on the front foot but Redruth held firm. Louise Matthews had a screamer of a shot heading for the top corner when the home keeper tipped the ball over the bar for a fantastic save, well done young man. In the final 10 minutes perranwell conceded a free kick on the corner of the box and from the resulting kick George scored with a diving header, atoning for the chance not taken in front of goal earlier.

great team performance from Redruth who deserved the win always trying to play football.

Sticker Reserves 1  Launceston Reserves 4

Sticker playing their second game of this week with some key players missing came across as being a little out of sorts and Launceston took advantage of this and were playing much the better football stringing to-gether some excellent passes. Sticker however couldn't get their passing to-gether and the midfield were being overrun. So it was no surprise when Launceston took the lead when a neat through ball was played to the striker and he sidestepped and slipped the ball past Andy Avery in goal. 0-1. When Sticker did try and press forward either their passes went astray or high balls were dealt with by the tall Launceston defenders, H/T. 0-1.

The second half commenced and Sticker were showing more determination bringing on Adam Dalby to try and bolster the midfield and although this worked as they had more of the ball it was after a decent attack broke down that Launceston swept downfield and scored no.2. Sticker looked a bit crestfallen now but still battled away but were still losing the ball in key areas and not long after came goal no,3.  Sticker got a consolation goal when Hayden Chapman pounced on a goalkeeping error and stabbed in his second goal for the team after his first goal against St Austell. Launceston were not finsished and scored goal no.4 to put the game completely out of reach. F/T. 1-4. This will be a a good learning curve for the Sticker youngsters and they now have a couple of weeks to recoup before their next game against Illogan in the cup.

Team: A,Avery, J.Carron, E.Warren-Clarke, A.Hassel, J.Chafer, L.Wilson, J.Nancarrow, J.Rogers, J.Edmondson, H.Chapman, A.Solomon.Subs: A.Dalby, Z.Vaughn, J.Moore, J.Connibear-Trathen, T.Morcom.
