Sticker Reserves 5 St Dennis Reserves 1

Recommended Posts

Sticker carried on where they left off in their last Game and for 20 minutes completely outplayed their opponents in all areas of the pitch Jake Chafer again showing great pace and control equally matched by the other Jake( Edmundson) and Adam Solomon getting stuck in and it was he who opened the scoring with a fine far post goal followed up by a brace from Jake Edmundson Sticker were virtually unplayable and Solly scored a real cracker when a ball was passed down the right and Solly beat two defenders before unleashing an unstoppable shot from 25 yards. What gave this dominance was the great defensive and midfield play by Sticker. Then to give St Dennis great credit they scored a cracking goal themselves when the ball was not cleared and Jacob Rowe crashed in an unstoppable goal himself. H/T. 4-1.

The second half commenced and gamely St Dennis were battling away with veteran Mark Rowe at the centre of most things but were undone when Jake edmundson scored his third goal showing some great pace down the left he cut inside and smashed the ball into the top left hand corner. 5-1. Sticker continued to press forward and had a number of shots but they either went over the bar or the St Dennis keeper pulled off some super saves.  Sticker gave the subs. some game time which allowed St Dennis a little more of the ball but Sticker were able to control the game without conceding any more and ran the game out worthy winners. F/T. 5-1. Martin, Andrew and Jack will be pleased once again as St Dennis didn't just roll over after conceding a few goals but bravely battled on. Sticker's play though was outstanding and are a joy to watch. Next game will be tough though as the visit league leaders St Dominic.

Jake Edmondson seems to be developing into a really dangerous prospoect, shame his attitude is so poor though.

The sheer disdain he shows towards referee's and opponents is childish.

If he can eliminate this aspect of his game then he'll do well!

He Didn't show any of that in this match too busy scoring a hat trick!
