Parkway with another fantastic win. First half it never looked like that sort of scoreline and Moore In goal for parkway probably kept them in the game with some great saves.

But 2nd half parkway went up a gear and were superb. Crago looks like he found his feet in this team now and was brilliant. Both his goals well taken.

Tom bath still looks like he struggling for any sort of form and now with carter there it’s going to interesting to see who leads the line each week.

Great game for a bank holiday and almost 500 there I believe.

Parkway into the play off places!

Seriously though, two wins and a draw from the first four games, sure Lee Hobbs would have taken that if offered it a month ago. Four successful penalties in the last four matches for River Allen, would any stats people out there know if this is some sort of record (if it's not, then what is the number?l

I can only compare with Falmouth records-

Mark Vercesi scored consecutive penalties in three games but more impressively in his time at Bickland 2010-12 he netted 27 penalties fom 28 (missing only one) including a Penalty hat trick in one game.

Since then the regular penalty taker now is Dave Broglino who has also scored a Penalty hat trick in one game.

After both being stuck indoors ill most of last week decided to give the wife an afternoons fresh air, I’m all heart you see! Lucky she prefers local footie to the tv stuff anyway. Not been to Parkways newly refurbished ground and have to say what a fantastic job done by all! Looks incredible! I remember playing against Parkway in the latter stages of my SWL days at places like Ernesettle and Brickfields so it was heart warming to see where the club is today 👏🏼👏🏼  Got there 2.35 and got turned away by the polite steward chap who pointed out the car park was full and told us where to go...not literally nice chap! 😁 Not eaten much since last Tuesday, will spare you the details but was nice to eat some “proper” football ground food again from the van inside the gate. As soon as we smelt the fried onions we got sucked in. Bit pricey but tasted lovely to be fair. Got a couple bottles of pop in the shop nearby as well and a bag of sweeties for half time! Turned out to be £30 well spent in the end! On to the game and it was visitors Willand straight on the front foot creating 3 or 4 first half chances that were well saved by the impressive Kyle Moore in goal, really sharp off his line twice and two reflex saves low down going in the corners. Willand lost dangerous striker Manny Skeete injured after 25 minutes which affected them a touch but not as much as Lee’s half time team talk probably affected the Parkway lads! Can imagine he wasn’t too pleased with it and they were a totally different proposition after the break! Mikey Williams scored a cracker curling beyond the keeper into the top corner from 25 yards before Jack Crago struck a post and scored with a neat finish all within the next 5 minutes! Parkway were pretty rampant by now for the big crowd to enjoy and were awarded a penalty around the hour mark. Got to say the defender did jump in a bit but he took the ball as clean as a whistle! The ref went with the shouts and appeals and gave it though and River Allen smashed it home off the underside of the crossbar! Game over! Willand looked a bit shell shocked but to their credit gave themselves a lifeline when Moore made his only mistake of the day trying to catch at full stretch deflecting the ball onto the bar and the striker had an easy tap in. Rovers smashed a great chance over on 86 minutes which might have made it a squeaky bum time last few minutes but with the next attack Parkway sealed a lovely 3 points and 10 goals in 2 games when Adam Carter pinned in the defender expertly and put in Crago who completed his brace with another clinical finish. Thought Carts looked good in his last 15 minutes on his return after replacing striker Tom Bath who had one of those days where nothing stuck apart from the ball under his feet a couple of times and nothing fell for him in front of goal. Any striker that’s played a decent level will tell you we’ve all had days like that to be fair. Great to see a busy Hobbsy quickly after the game, honest as ever, said the 1st half was poor but the 2nd half delighted with. Doing a great job mate and into the top 5 Parkway go! Sat in the lush new Charlie Baggott stand in the back row, lovely view including Gez behind the far ‘away’ goal, how proud he must be of that stand and all those gents have done to make Parkway what it is today! Congrats to Parkway, good to see dozens in those yellow and blue scarves around the ground, big future for the club and it’s fans to look forward to I think. 👏🏼👍️ Really enjoyable afternoon.
