cornishteddyboy
Penzance 2-0 Dobwalls Pz did just enough to win. Not many chances for either team.
Guest Rubber Soul
Come on, Black & White, let's be having your match report. The Magpies did win for once, after all.
Nugget
What was the pitch like Rubber Soul, ready for the Senior Cup final?
Guest Black&White
Penzance 2, Dobwalls 0 Beaten to it by Teddyboy today, Rubber Duck, who had kindly posted the score while I was enjoying my tea. We're both probably still in a state of shock after watching Pz's first home league win since mid-December, which came courtesy of goals either side of half-time from skipper Nick Pugliese, with a delightful (or is that delight-full ) free-kick, and Dan Stidwell's close-range strike four minutes into the second half. Dobwalls did have their chances to get something from the game, notably from the penalty spot on the hour mark, only for Penzance goalkeeper and birthday boy Craig Nicholls to pull off his second penalty save inside a week to keep out Simon Skews' spot-kick. Nicholls played the entire game nursing a hamstring injury, and also made some other fine saves at crucial times to ensure his side completed a league 'double' over the boys from Lantoom.
Guest Black&White
Not a bad day at all for the Magpies, with results elsewhere also working in their favour ... Well done to Andy Ball and his St Austell side as well. Their "positive approach" to their game against leaders Porthleven very nearly paid off ... Guest Rubber Soul
Thank you Black & Sh*te for an informative report. Better late than never, I suppose. Nugget, the pitch at Wadebridge was a bit soft and patchy, but I am reliably informed that all will be well by the time the Senior Cup final comes around. The facilities were excellent, though.
