cornishteddyboy
If you are disabled, walk with two sticks and have a range of a few yards, where can you park in Chacewater to get to the ground to watch a game? Google maps shows a car park at a doctor's but nothing nearer. Two of us from Pz have trouble walking but want to watch Tuesday's match if possible. cornishteddyboy
No answer. No one watch them or play for them? Are they the only ground inaccessible to the disabled? No one next to the ground do what they do in London and other big cities, rent out their driveways?

Nothing closer than that car park that I'm aware of Paul.
Glen Patterson
The car park is right next to the ground. As the crow flies the car park as about 20 yards from the park boundary. Not likely to be a closer car park. It's a longer walk from changing rooms to the pitch at Boscowan Park (Malpas) where the Truro based junior teams have played over the years. Soccer Follower
I suspect that the new Secretary Russell Grice has not seen your post Paul.He did post a short report on yesterday's match. There are double yellow lines in Falmouth Road (which adjoins the ground) Paul but if you have the disability badge you should be able to park there. Cars are not usually permitted into the Recreation Ground but if you contact Russell he may be able assist with that for you. Best wishes, Nigel
cornishteddyboy
Thanks 2 questions Are you allowed to park in the surgery car park? Can you park on Falmouth Road on the double yellows by the bowling green? Problem is I have only missed 5 Pz Reserves games since 2001 and have to keep my record going. I made my daughter marry mid-week so I wouldn't miss a game!
Soccer Follower
Paul, I have spoken to Russell and he is going to contact the Parish Council who administer the Recreation Ground to see if you can park inside the ground. I covered the parking on double yellow lines in Falmouth Road in my earlier post and the answer is yes. Nigel

When we play Culdrose Reserves we park on the St Kevern/Lizard Roundabout and force our way past the gate. Tiny layby there.
rgkeep
Apologies for not replying sooner @cornishteddyboy. I am new to running things at Chacewater, but will try my best to ensure you can drive up by the pitch. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Tuesday! I'll pm you my mobile number in case you want to talk. Thanks Nigel for giving me heads up Soccer Follower
