Yes, I knew that, saw him playing in PSF and by chance finished up talking to his dad! So 2 gks lost then.

Yes we had a young lad called Lee Summers and he just left at moments notice, not going anywhere just wasn't enjoying football which left us in the lurch. So the manager had to call on an old mate who got a nasty injury in the match against St.Austell  and has now hung up his boots. We have since signed another keeper who is excellent!

Newquay 1 (Harding 6) Foxhole 3 (Jack Boardman 11, Harry Boardman 11, Coates 74)

Foxhole’s miserable run ended with a much improved display at Mount Wise, full of effort and aggression against determined and smart opponents who were still well in the game even after Coates’ header had made it 3-1 with sixteen minutes left. Harding had put the home team ahead early on, running clear to slide the ball under Heaton, but the equaliser soon arrived when Wilkins’ searching ball to Tom Boardman broke kindly for his brother Jack to tap home. Harry Boardman put the visitors in front with a left-footed chip from twenty-five yards which caught out stand-in ‘keeper Brooks, the game continuing to ebb and flow for the rest of the half, albeit without a host of chances being created at either end. Nevertheless, the match was proving a good advert for the ECPL, as both sides showed off their skill and commitment as the tackles flew in, while giving little for referee Pattison to get unduly worried about.

The Foxes recently had shown a worrying drop in performance post their half time slice of orange and there were some signs of this again as Newquay began to pin them back, but that Heaton was relatively untroubled was due to the sort of togetherness not witnessed since Gunnislake away five matches ago, with Andrews and Abdulkarim especially doughty. Indisputably, the fact that at last the bench was well-populated was a key element in securing the victory, the numerous fresh legs, including those of debutants Mitchell and Hoskin, keeping the Peppermints at bay while also offering the real threat of a fourth.

Well played the super Foxes. Well done and good luck to Newquay. Many thanks to George Pattison and the linos.

Foxhole (4-5-1): Jack Heaton; Ryan Wilkins, Seth Couch, Angel Coates, Josh Andrews; Harry Boardman, Tom Boardman, Nadir Abdulkarim, Levi Kerrigan, Jake Couch; Jack Boardman. Subs: Jowan Dingle, Rildwan Areoye, Brad Hoskin, Brodie Mitchell, Dan Olver.

Newquay: Ian Brooks, Jay Britcliffe, Russell Brooker, Cameron Burt, Adam Casey, Johnny Coleman, Nathan Farrell, Tommi Harding, Tyler Moore, Harry Varcoe, Cavan Whitehouse. Subs: Owen Capewell, Malachy Cash, James O’Donoghue.

Foxhole seems to be a revolving door of players and managers. Why is it that people don't stay there for long?

I respect the opinion of those who think the standard in the ECPL, or in local football generally, isn't great. I defend their right to express that opinion. However, my view is somewhat more optimistic and, dare I say, generous. I think the standard is pretty good. We have not played a bad side this season. Each side, including ours, has tried to get the ball down and pass short to somebody wearing the same colour shirt. Every team has displayed skill, commitment and talent. There are some really good players in the ECPL. Those who believe the standard was higher in their day may just be suffering from a poor memory.

St Newlyn East 2 (Scott 2, Hay 22) Foxhole 1 (Wilkins pen 44)

Newlyn took an early lead when, from a Foxhole corner, Scott broke away to beat Lake, who then misjudged Hay’s effort at his near post. The Foxes rallied and reduced the arrears when Dingle fouled Mitchell for Wilkins to despatch the penalty, but were ultimately not good enough to snatch a draw.

Foxhole (4-4-2): Anton Lake; Ryan Wilkins, Brad Hoskin, Angel Coates, Josh Andrews; Jowan Dingle, Tom Boardman, Levi Kerrigan, Brodie Mitchell; Jack Boardman, Tyler Cheshire. Subs: Rildwan Areoye, Nadir Abdulkarim.

St Newlyn East: Logan Capeling, Zefran Counter, Josh Dingle, Harry Hay, Owen London, Ross London, Daniel Parsonage, Martyn Probert, Jack Scott, Jack Thompson, Tristan Wood. Sub: Elliott Powell.

Many thanks to referee Ian Osborne.

Foxhole 3 (Cheshire 8, 13, Couch 42) St Cleer 5 (Gwillam 47, 51 pen, 66, Gross 49)

Foxhole threw away a three-goal lead with a woeful second-half performance compounded by Coates’ reckless challenge on the halfway line that will see him miss three games. Cheshire’s early brace was complemented by Couch’s chip but there had been signs that the visitors fancied their chances of a recovery. Sure enough, they were level within six hectic minutes of the restart before securing the winner shortly after Coates’ needless dismissal, the final quarter offering little hope of salvaging a draw.

Foxhole (3-5-2): Jack Heaton; Ryan Wilkins, Josh Andrews, Angel Coates; Jowan Dingle, Jake Couch, Levi Kerrigan, Brodie Mitchell, Brad Hoskin; Tyler Cheshire, Jack Boardman. Subs: Tom Boardman, Harry Boardman, Nadir Abdulkarim, Teo Triggs.

St Cleer: Finnley Bartlett, Kevin Bunkum, Ryan Chapman, Jacob England, William Gilbert, Karl Gross, Ethan Gwillam, Daniel Hinks, Jack Libby, Aaron Saunders, Anthony Powell. Subs: Adam King, Zak Mollard.

Many thanks to Martin Clemens.

Foxhole 8 (Cheshire 4, 18, 46, 49, 63, 73, Dingle 74, Jack Boardman 81) Marjons (Dawe 50)

Ten-man Marjons were no match for rampant Foxhole who easily secured a place in the semi-final. Despite only scoring twice before the break, if anything the first half was even more one-sided than the second, as a combination of ill-fortune and unorthodox goalkeeping somehow kept the score down. However, once Cheshire found his range it was game over, the Foxes putting together some fine passing moves to create a litany of chances, although slack play allowed Dawe a consolation.

Foxhole (3-5-2): Stewart May; Ryan Wilkins, Josh Andrews, Brad Hoskin; Jowan Dingle, Tom Boardman, Harry Boardman, Nathan Allen, Nadir Abdulkarim; Jack Boardman, Tyler Cheshire.

Subs: Dan Olver, Rildwan Areoye, Jake Couch, Levi Kerrigan.

Marjons: Michael Axworthy, Liam Coles, Brandon Dawe, Louis Godwin, Kieran Hanson, Ethan Jones, Cameron Mackie, Connor Thomas, Myron Vanstone, Sam Wells.

Many thanks to Bob Steggles.

St Teath 0 Foxhole 1 (Jack Boardman 66)

After a fantastic defensive display to protect their stand-in keeper, Foxhole secured three points thanks to Jack Boardman’s low drive which crept in at the near post, the only blemish against the home number one who was otherwise excellent throughout, denying Cheshire on several occasions. St Teath were always in the game, playing the ball around nicely before hitting their lively front two, but were never able to force Harry Boardman, the Foxes’ fourth different keeper in their last four games, into an actual save.

Foxhole (3-5-2): Harry Boardman; Josh Andrews, Ryan Wilkins, Brad Hoskin; Jowan Dingle, Tom Boardman, Levi Kerrigan, Dan Olver, Jake Couch; Jack Boardman, Tyler Cheshire. Sub: Teo Triggs.

St Teath: Cameron Barrett, Sam Brown, Andrew Burden, Darren Burden, Oliver Edwards, Stephen Gulley, Michael Hewett, Dan Jerram-Smith, Dave Rear, Craig Thompson, Daniel Wren, Sub: Dan Hicks.

Many thanks to James Strout.

Foxhole 1 (Cheshire 35) Gunnislake 3 (Cotton 30, 89, McCallion 66)

Foxhole defended brilliantly against the gale in the first half, restricting the visitors to few clear-cut opportunities. While Cotton did open the scoring from close range, Cheshire soon equalised after being sent clear by the returning Griffin. Unfortunately the Foxes were unable to capitalise on a host of chances after the break before the alarming lack of defensive cover down the home left was ruthlessly exploited, first by McCallion who found himself with the freedom of the penalty area, and then, at the death, by Cotton following more good work by outside-right Patterson, to present Gunnislake with an ultimately deserved victory.

Foxhole (3-5-2): Stewart May; Ryan Wilkins, Josh Andrews, Nadir Abdulkarim; Tom Boardman, Jowan Dingle, Jake Couch, Cameron Bidgood, Levi Kerrigan; Richard Griffin, Tyler Cheshire. Subs: Harry Boardman, Jay Manning.

Gunnislake: James Cawte, Ricky Coton, Billy Cotton, Kevin McCallion, Jamie Montgomery, Adam Patterson, Liam Raglan, Bradley Scoble, Harry Southcott, Joe Wakenshaw, Ben Walters. Subs: Ben Farrar, Kieran Crowle, Matthew Byford.

Many thanks to Alan Howells.

Foxhole 2 (Harry Boardman 59, 65) St Stephen 3 (Mingo 3 pen, 68, Harvey 24)

Seth Couch’s tenure as manager began with a disappointing defeat to an altogether more sprightly St Stephen. The visitors pinned their hosts back from the off, going ahead inside three minutes when, following a fumble from Lake, Coates tripped Mingo, who slotted home the penalty himself. Foxhole lost both Mitchell and Andrews to injury before fifteen minutes were up but were able to carve out a trio of presentable opportunities for Cheshire which unfortunately were all squandered. Substitute Harvey made it 2-0 when he tapped in a low cross from the willing Oldham, who provided an eager target all game, knowing he was likely to be found with an early pass. In stark contrast, Foxhole’s approach was ponderous at best, which rather played into the hands of the Saints who counterbalanced their lack of pace at the back by merely defending deeper, a simple but effective tactic often eschewed nowadays in favour of relying on the flag of the lino fifty yards from goal.

Unable to make further changes in personnel, the Foxes continued to labour after the break before Harry Boardman struck twice in quick succession, first by latching on to Dingle’s cross from the right and then firing in an unstoppable free-kick from twenty-five yards off the underside of the bar. However, Mingo soon grabbed the winner, running past a static defence to nudge home Jago’s cross, and his team were to see out time comfortably, defending in numbers while continuing to offer the greater threat on the break, and should have extended their lead but Kesson-Smith’s header was instinctively saved by Lake and Jago somehow missed an open goal from five yards.

Foxhole (4-4-2): Anton Lake; Ryan Wilkins, Tom Boardman, Angel Coates, Josh Andrews; Jowan Dingle, Brodie Mitchell, Jake Couch, Levi Kerrigan; Jack Boardman, Tyler Cheshire. Subs: Harry Boardman, Nadir Abdulkarim.

St Stephen (4-5-1): Steve Raven; Curtis Dalby, Saul Niles, Rhys Davies, Stuart Kesson-Smith; Brad Lowe, Ryan Beckly, James Venning, Jack Mingo, Connor Jago; Callum Oldham. Subs: Jack Harvey, Tom Rowland.

Many thanks to Alan Howells.

Looe 2 (Haffenden 64, Stephenson 76) Foxhole 5 (Cheshire 28, 29, 57, Kerrigan 68, Rowe 86)

Foxhole achieved only their third win in ten league games in the freezing rain and ferocious wind at Barbican Road. Handing debuts to Prynn and Appleby, the Foxes should have fallen behind early on, but Steed’s header from close range was easily gathered. However, playing with the elements soon allowed the visitors to pin Looe back, but a combination of heroic blocks and wayward finishing kept the scoreline blank until Cheshire netted twice within sixty seconds around the half hour, first by latching on to Jack Boardman’s pass to beat the keeper from a narrow angle before taking advantage of some calamitous defending to chip high into the net.

Rather than sitting back and inviting pressure, the Foxes endeavoured to continue on the front foot after the break, a concept which may have proved difficult to implement given the slope and the gale which showed no signs of abating. Nonetheless they were rewarded for their enterprise with perhaps the best goal they have scored all season, a fine move down the right involving Wilkins and Mitchell allowing Cheshire to complete his hat-trick. With nothing to lose, the yellow-shirted home team piled forward, no doubt aware that Foxhole have an uncomfortable habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory from seemingly unassailable positions and, following a glaring miss by Taylor, Haffenden beat Prynn with a shot which hit both posts before limping over the line despite the best efforts of the mud, the proliferation of which all over the pitch ensured errors were inevitable and the ultimate destiny of the points was far from guaranteed. A rare goal by Kerrigan with a fierce strike into the top corner, after more good work from the enigmatic Mitchell, seemed to settle it only for Phillips to send Stephenson away to fire home, before a great assist by the improving Triggs released Rowe for an emphatic finish.

Foxhole (4-3-3): James Prynn; Ryan Wilkins, Charlie Appleby, Josh Andrews, Lee Rickard; Harry Boardman, Jake Couch, Levi Kerrigan; Tyler Cheshire, Jack Boardman, Brodie Mitchell. Subs: Tom Boardman, Teo Triggs, Courtney Rowe.

Looe squad: Aubrey Boxall, Ryan Cooke, Josef Fowler, Teddy Haffenden, Philippos Kombostiotis, Solomon Phillips, Matthew Steed, Barny Stephenson, Jimi Taylor, Joe White, Callum Barratt, Ross Longman, Elliot Stone.

Well played both teams and referee Allen Johns for a great match in appalling conditions.

Got to say a big credit to both teams and both lino’s. Game played in a great spirit wit no cautions, no moans (except about the appalling weather) on a surprisingly good pitch considering what had come from the sky over the preceding 24 hours. Thanks to all for an enjoyable afternoon.

Foxhole 1 (Jack Boardman 25) St Blazey 0

Jack Boardman’s goal midway through the first half was enough for Foxhole to record two successive league victories for the first time since September and only their fourth clean sheet of the season. With both mid-table teams missing key players it was always likely to be a tight affair and so it proved with the final whistle blown by stand-in referee Simon Bunt being met with some relief as the visitors piled forward in search of an equaliser. That said, St Blazey were unable to seriously extend their former ‘keeper Prynn throughout the game, despite enjoying their share of possession, as their final ball was invariably dealt with by the excellent Andrews. By far the more clear-cut chances fell to a white-shirt but Cheshire and Boardman were unable to find the target until they combined for an extremely well-worked tap in, although Cheshire was unfortunate to see a subsequent effort rebound off the post straight into the arms of a grateful Turner, who, like his opposite number, was not to be called into flying action too often.

The reverse fixture at Blaise Park had seen the Greens dominate midfield, but this time the Foxes were far more tigerish in the tackle and composed on the ball, with Kerrigan in particular enjoying a fine game, which allowed Dingle at outside-right to see more of the ball to feet. While it could be argued more pressure could have been exerted on veteran ex-Foxes Camps and Davy, overall Foxhole’s first home league win since the opening day of the season was merited, with many good performances amid a battling display.

Foxhole (4-3-3): James Prynn; Dan Olver, Charlie Appleby, Josh Andrews, Angel Coates; Harry Boardman, Levi Kerrigan, Jake Couch; Jowan Dingle, Jack Boardman, Tyler Cheshire. Subs: Nadir Abdulkarim, Chris Kilbey, Teo Triggs.

St Blazey: Liam Turner; Kevin Morcom, Martin Davy, Gary Camps, Peter Butler, Scott Laughton, Charlie Jones, Bailey Trethewey, Brandon Trudgeon, Ryan Morcom, Kyle Hughes. Subs: Miles Gardner, Connor Bussell, Nathan Chapman, Chris Warburton.

Many thanks to Simon Bunt, the visiting linos and Chris Warburton for finalising the St Blazey squad.

St Stephen 0 Foxhole 1 (Jack Boardman 52)

For the second successive week a goal by Jack Boardman was enough to secure a deserved victory. His side had started on the offensive immediately, seemingly in the mood to eradicate from the memory the horror show of the meeting in December, but they found Raven in top form, the long-serving ‘keeper excelling with some fine saves early on. Having failed to make the breakthrough their early dominance warranted, Foxhole were soon required to display their recent improved defensive capability as the Saints enjoyed a good spell, albeit without seriously extending Prynn.

Dingle was again fancying his chances down the right, and, from one of his centres, Boardman stabbed home following a goalmouth scramble early in the second half, but despite getting in behind the St Stephen rearguard on several other occasions, the visitors were unable to kill the game. Consequently the home team were always in the mix for a point, but their cause was handicapped when Oldham saw red after a clash with Tom Boardman, and, with Andrews again imperious, the Foxes’ defence stood firm impressively to preserve another clean sheet.

Foxhole (4-3-3): James Prynn; Dan Olver, Charlie Appleby, Josh Andrews, Angel Coates; Harry Boardman, Levi Kerrigan, Brodie Mitchell; Jowan Dingle, Jack Boardman, Tyler Cheshire. Subs: Chris Kilbey, Teo Triggs, Matt Searle, Cameron Bidgood, Tom Boardman.

St Stephen (4-3-3): Steve Raven; Curtis Dalby, Saul Niles, Stuart Kesson-Smith, Rhys Davies; James Venning, Brad Lowe, Jack Mingo; Craig Coad, Callum Oldham, Connor Jago. Subs: Jack Harvey, Tom Rowland, Joseph Lutey.

Many thanks to Aidan Hagley and Ian Trevenna. Well played the super Foxes. Well done and good luck to St Stephen.

St Cleer 2 (Bartlett 12, 17) Foxhole 4 (Rickard 7, Dingle 31, Cheshire 32, 70)

Depleted Foxhole extended their winning run to four with a tremendous display on the road, overcoming the absence of manager Couch as well as Coates, Andrews and Kerrigan, plus the early withdrawal of Appleby, to record a memorable victory. The home team elected to have the fierce wind at their backs but it was the visitors who struck first, courtesy of Rickard’s fine header from Harry Boardman’s deep free-kick. St Cleer soon equalised when Bartlett’s speculative effort caught out Prynn, before, and from a Foxhole corner, the same player broke away to make it 2-1.

There have been occasions this season when, faced with a similar scenario, the Foxes have crumbled, but they seem to have discovered an impressive solidarity and it was just that they regained the lead with two goals in a minute. First, Cheshire took advantage of a slip to set up Dingle for an emphatic finish in a crowded box, before Cheshire himself found the net from twelve yards. Nursing an injury, the Foxes’ top-scorer limped off temporarily, his replacement Papaioannou almost scoring with his first touch, running clear of an over-worked defence only to pull his effort wide. With no sign of the wind abating, Foxhole were well pleased to change ends ahead, and it should have been even better as they had carved out numerous other opportunities, but Dingle, Cheshire and Mitchell had all been unable to convert some great approach play.

The second half was scrappier, but the Foxes weren’t complaining. Although St Cleer battled gamely, the dangerous Gwillam was successfully kept at bay to the extent they seldom appeared capable of further piercing a rearguard expertly marshalled by the terrific Rickard, although Tom Boardman and Wilkins were only marginally less outstanding, while Prynn looks increasingly assured by the week. The hard-working midfield had also nullified the threat posed by Chapman, whose first-half runs had provoked some anxiety; by contrast, the impact of Allen, by a country mile the best player on the pitch, grew exponentially as a killer fourth was sought. It duly arrived with twenty minutes remaining, Jack Boardman capitalising on indifferent defending to tee up Cheshire to drive low to the keeper’s right from the edge of the box. The white shirts auspiciously ran down the clock, albeit while still looking far more likely to grab the next goal, to deservedly win a fine advert for the ECPL.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to St Cleer. Many thanks to Gary Cornish and the home lino.

Foxhole (4-3-3): James Prynn; Ryan Wilkins, Charlie Appleby, Lee Rickard, Dan Olver; Harry Boardman, Brodie Mitchell, Nathan Allen; Tyler Cheshire, Jack Boardman, Jowan Dingle. Subs: Tom Boardman, Nathan Papaioannou, Nadir Abdulkarim, Teo Triggs.

Foxhole 0 Torpoint 2 (Easterbrook 9, Westall 43)

Torpoint fully warranted the points as, despite undoubted commitment and effort, the Foxes couldn't match their opponents for quality on the ball and defensive resilience off it. Crucially, too, in a match of few clear-cut chances, the visitors made far more of their scoring opportunities (a late penalty miss notwithstanding), going ahead early on when Westall showed admirable composure to lay the ball on a plate for Easterbrook, arriving later than an email from Nanpean. Despite being backed by a typical Goverseth gale, Foxhole's attempts to equalise proved unproductive, their long ball tactics routinely thwarted by a White-inspired rearguard, while neither Coates or Cheshire were able to find the net from close range. Just before the break, Westall capitalised on uncertainty at the back to beat Prynn, after his initial effort had been cleared from the line by Andrews, to secure a two goal lead the amber shirts were in no mood to squander as they soaked up the home team's pressure comfortably in the second half. Very few teams have worked as hard against us as Torpoint this season, their willingness to heavily populate all areas of the pitch ensuring not only a clean sheet but also inevitably enhancing their quest for a killer third, which was only prevented when Prynn brilliantly denied Hussey from the spot, after Coates had tripped Easterbrook.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to Torpoint. Many thanks to Alan Howells.

St Minver 1 (Ed Green pen 86) Foxhole 3 (Bould 5, 7, 41)

Benno Bould celebrated his return to first team action with a stunning hat-trick to secure his side a place in the final against Torpoint. The first came inside five minutes when Harry Boardman's free-kick from the half-way line was back-headed into the net, and the second arrived  soon afterwards, Bould's speculative effort from distance deceiving Hurst. Cheshire, who enjoyed a fine game down the left and who seemed to relish combining with his recalled strike partner, almost made it three, but his lob was cleared from the line. The home team were always in the game, though, but their final ball was lacking, and the Foxhole rearguard stood firm even after Andrews limped off, Rickard slotting in alongside the commanding Coates, allowing the excellent Allen to join the fray. They were, though, indebted to May who did brilliantly to tip Wootton's fierce volley onto the bar, before Bould masterfully re-directed Jack Boardman's centre past a stranded Hurst.

With the memory of their pitiful second-half capitulation in the league game at Trewint Lane last October still fresh, the Foxes knew they would have to dig deep and they stepped up to the plate magnificently. St Minver threw everything at them but May was rarely extended, his team defending in numbers and denying space to the tricky Kempthorne and Caddy. Cheshire may have made it four but his lob was smothered, while Dingle typified the spirit of his team-mates with non-stop running, his and Jack Boardman's ability to induce fouls successfully taking the sting out of proceedings. With time running out, Caddy was tripped by Olver for a clear penalty, which Ed Green converted despite slipping and scuffing his shot, but the white shirts were in no mood for late drama.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to St Minver. Many thanks to Alan Howells.

Torpoint 2 (Northcott 44, Westall 77) Foxhole 1 (Jack Boardman 28)

Foxhole defended the gale comfortably enough in the first half with a resolute defensive display, and even went ahead through Jack Boardman’s forty-yard lob. However, Northcott’s free-kick deceived Prynn on the stroke of half-time to equalise. The Foxes maintained their disciplined approach after the break but were unable to offer sufficient threat in the final third before Westall pounced on a loose ball to secure his team the points

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to Torpoint. Many thanks to Allen Johns.

Foxhole 1 (Couch 50) St Minver 2 (Stone 51, Ed Green pen 87)

A late penalty coolly converted by Ed Green and awarded after a foul by Prynn was all that separated the two sides in a good match. After each team had traded chances in the first-half without seriously extending either keeper, Couch’s shot on the turn found the bottom corner soon after the restart. However, within seconds, Prynn had failed to hold a free-kick, allowing Stone to tap home the rebound. While a draw would have been fair, the Foxes’ disappointment at the end was perhaps more to do with concern over a bad hand injury sustained by Rickard.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to St Minver. Many thanks to Tim Reeks.

Foxhole (4-3-3): James Prynn; Ryan Wilkins, Tom Boardman, Charlie Appleby, Lee Rickard; Jake Couch, Harry Boardman, Jack Boardman; Brodie Mitchell, Tyler Cheshire, Benno Bould. Subs: Luke Damerell, Angel Coates, Aidan Dingle, Dan Olver, Nathan Allen.

Foxhole 7 (Cheshire 17, 21, 33, Jowan Dingle 24, 27, Bould 41, Appleby 77) Roche 2 (Smith 10, Peers 62)

Foxhole may not have been five goals better than their opponents but their comfortable victory was ensured by a six goal blitz in twenty-four first half minutes. Roche had actually started the better, going ahead early on through Smith's fine strike from twenty-five yards, but the Foxes soon began to find the bottom corner of Hunkin's net with regularity. Cheshire's shot on the turn levelled the scores before the same player ran clear from the half-way line to slot home. Following a corner, Jowan Dingle's drive through a crowded box found the net, before the outside-right soon made it 4-1 with a great finish from Bould's lay-off. Cheshire won the race to a hat-trick with yet another unstoppable effort before, from Jack Boardman's inswinging corner, Bould headed in emphatically. The rare sight of a full bench made for numerous changes so the accelerator pedal was never fully depressed after the break, but there was never any likelihood of a miraculous visiting fightback by the game visitors, although Peers did reduce the arrears when his shot from outside the area was deflected past a stranded Prynn. Foxhole continued to create presentable opportunities and finally added another when, with the Roche defence at sixes and sevens, Appleby bagged the seventh with a towering header from Bould's corner in an almost exact replica of the sixth.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to Roche. Many thanks to Tom McCormick.

Foxhole (4-3-3): James Prynn; Ryan Wilkins, Tom Boardman, Angel Coates, Josh Andrews; Jack Boardman, Aidan Dingle, Jake Couch; Tyler Cheshire, Benno Bould, Nathan Allen. Subs: Charlie Appleby, Teo Triggs, Dan Olver, Levi Kerrigan, Harry Boardman.

Foxhole 2 (Wilkins pen 9, Bould 55) Altarnun 2 (Knights 16, Ambrose 88)

Foxhole came within two minutes of ending the visitors' unbeaten league record but were unable to prevent Ambrose's brave header finding the net at the near post from an inswinging corner. It was harsh on the home team, who had performed admirably throughout, although a draw was probably fair. Wilkins had opened the scoring early on from the spot after a prone defender had handled, but Altarnun soon levelled when a misplaced clearance by a stricken Andrews was pounced on by Knights. The reshuffle caused by Andrews' immediate departure meant Wilkins switched to centre-half and Mitchell improbably had to fill in at right back, but they and their team-mates showed great determination to thwart their free-scoring opponents.

Throughout the rest of the game, each side traded chances and, while Altarnun enjoyed slightly more possession, the more clear-cut ones fell to a white shirt, only to find the keeper in top form. By contrast, Prynn was rarely extended, although he was relieved to see Smith somehow find the top of the bar from virtually underneath it.  Early in the second half Altarnun failed from the spot when, after Wilkins had upended Bailey, Hancock fired over, and they were made to pay when Jake Couch flicked on for Bould to ram home. With thirty-five minutes remaining, it was always a tough ask to hold out in the face of sustained pressure, but that they so nearly did while continuing to threaten on the counter means much credit must go to the fantastic Foxes, who also welcomed back Seth Couch for his first appearance since early October.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to Altarnun. Many thanks to Aidan Hagley.

Altarnun 0 Foxhole 2 (Jake Couch 82, Bould 90)

The magnificent Foxes ended Altarnun's long unbeaten run with an heroic smash and grab victory at Trezibbit. Under the cosh for virtually the whole game, the depleted visitors somehow kept the hosts at bay before two late goals stole the points. That said, and the fact Altarnun twice struck the woodwork notwithstanding, Prynn was not really called into flying action much, his clean sheet preserved both by him dealing efficiently with everything thrown at him and by the outstanding protection he was given. With eight minutes left the home keeper strayed into no man's land, allowing Jake Couch to find an unguarded net from forty yards. Kerrigan almost repeated the trick, his effort landing on top of the goal, but the yellow shirts flooded forward in search of an equaliser to keep their title hopes alive. Deep into added time, they forced yet another corner, for which the keeper joined the attack. His header fell to Sam Smith but his shot was blocked by the excellent Coates for the umpteenth time. The ball reached Kilbey who calmly played it forward for Bould to outpace and out-muscle Bailey to secure a famous win.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to Altarnun. Many thanks to Tom McCormick.

Foxhole 5 (Cheshire 12, 47, 65, 85, Couch 21) Newquay 1 (Britcliffe 29)

Foxhole completed their season with a comfortable victory. Cheshire opened the scoring, racing from the halfway line on to a headed flick from Couch, who soon doubled the lead with an overhead kick. Although Britcliffe reduced the arrears from close range, the same Foxes pair combined straight after half time, Cheshire then completing his hat-trick thanks to a brilliant piece of control over his shoulder from stand-in keeper Andrews' drop-kick. Near the end, Rowe was chopped down, allowing Cheshire to bag his fourth from the spot.
