Steve Carpenter Posted May 27, 2021 Report Posted May 27, 2021 The St Piran AGM will take place on 9th June via Microsoft Teams commencing at 7:30pm. Teams invites to join the meeting will be sent to Club Secretaries in due course.
Foul Throw 3 Posted May 27, 2021 Report Posted May 27, 2021 Hi Steve, Will the teams who have applied to the St Piran setup be confirmed before the AGM and be present, or is the decision to be voted on, on the night? Thanks.

Thanks. As of last night confirmed applications to fill vacancies have been received from Ludgvan, Perranporth, St Cleer, St Dominick, St Stephen and Truro City Reserves. As these are applications to fill vacancies and the process is by election (as per FA Rules) each of these clubs will need to make their pitch at the AGM and the current membership will then vote.
Foul Throw 3 Posted May 28, 2021 Report Posted May 28, 2021 Thanks for replying Steve. Do you know how many gaps you have to fill? In the Eastern Division for my interest.
andy howes Posted May 31, 2021 Report Posted May 31, 2021 Truro city reserves that's interesting how can they be considered when they haven't had a reserve team for a good many years, surly they should start from scratch so starting in the lower leagues.

It's the peculiar times we're living in Andy. Their side is essentially their u18's from this season which is turning into the reserve side and as there's no promotion/relegation but there are vacancies to fill anyone can apply. Not too dissimilar to teams from the lower divisions of Trelawny applying for the Combination or indeed St Piran, they're just applying from the u18 structure.
6times Posted May 31, 2021 Report Posted May 31, 2021 So 3 gaps for the west means Truro perranporth and ludgvan are in obviously

Surely this has to be about quality of the league? Isn't it planned to be a “Reserve” side which obviously will cater for any U-18s too old from this season’s squad? From what I gather there’s already a handful that are already connected with SWPL clubs and so not sure they will drop down to play SPL with Truro in any case. If it’s “anyone can apply”, I don’t see a problem. If current clubs don’t like the idea of them joining, and one immediate question is where are they going to play, just don’t vote for them!
