International Friendly, Kernow v Cascadia, Saturday 22nd May

Is anybody else from here planning to attend the Kernow v Cascadia match this Saturday at Northwood FC?  Don't expect the Metropolitan Line to resemble the scenes before Scotland played at Wembley in 1977, but hopefully I won't be the only Cornish supporter there.

Didn't know that was going on.  I've already booked to travel down to Eastleigh for their match against Boreham Wood that day - would have loved to get there otherwise.  I saw Cascadia at the last CONIFA World Cup, they weren't a bad side.

I don't suppose you'd be up for posting a small summary of the match on here?!

The publicity hasn't been great. Can see from the pictures on Facebook that Darren Gilbert was taking the training sessions, but there has been no word on a squad as yet. Wondering if I need to take my boots on Saturday. 😀

I went along to the Kernow FA training session on Wednesday and interviews with Braggy, Jason Heaton, Gilby, Goldy and Andy Graham all to be aired on the Rappo & Deacs Friday Fix podcast coming up this week. 

In the meantime the squad travelling is as follows:-

Nepotism working at its finest!!!! Lost all respect for this with Jason Heaton’s son included in the squad. No disrespect meant  to the young lad but just what is the selection criteria? Sounds like a pub team selection with who is available on the day.....

Probably struggle to raise a squad half the time to play in a tournament no one has heard of in a backwater country that nobody knows where it is.

A friendly played in London...what's that all about?
