Ian Pethick Posted April 21, 2021 Report Share Posted April 21, 2021 Different League, The Derry City Story (available on the BBC iplayer) This is a great watch, the story of how Derry City were resurrected by their fans after disbanding due to it being impossible to play in their home city at the height of the troubles. After reforming in 1984 (in the Republic Of Ireland League as the Northern Irish leagues wouldn't accept them) , within 5 years they were playing Benfica (then managed by Sven Goran Eriksson) in the European Cup.
