FA Vase in Tier 4

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know what happens if a team from Tier 1, 2 or 3 are drawn against a team in Tier 4? The reason that I ask is the winner of the Christchurch v Falmouth Town tie will be away to United Services Portsmouth who are in Tier 4. As I understand the new laws travel into or out of a Tier 4 area is prohibited unless essential. I can't see this being essential in the eyes of government so would US Portsmouth be awarded the tie as their opponents cannot turn up?

Interesting point there Quiet Man.........but........
Come on now, we’re talking next year, weeks away yet, we’ll all be in tier 9 by then and not allowed to get out of bed!

Can’t find it now but there was a photo of US Portsmouth’s stand on Saturday when still Tier 3 (no supporters). The Millbrook chairman was very concerned at the lack of Covid precautions. I have to say there were far more people in there than there should have been IMO.

And a significant amount of abuse he got from the US Portsmouth supporters on Twitter for mentioning too!

There was a 200 capacity at victory stadium due to Covid rules with a 150 limit of supporters in the 500 seat main stand, Millbrook officials seated one end within a taped area, sadly there was no segregation so home supporters were sat within touching distance with no masks on.

there were some covid measures in place but not in the stand as no seats were taped off for distancing, some supporters wore masks and had space  but there should never be supporters allowed in at that tier level as completely unsafe even if just home supporters if they cared which some obviously didn't.

the rest of the stand was busy as some local Pompey fans poured in to watch the game.

as for the vile abuse on social media it was a mix of their players and supporters that was relentless through the night and very unpleasant as was the disgusting behaviour by their players at the final whistle which the officials are reporting on.

that said they deserved to win the game as Brook weren't at their best so good luck to them in the next round if it ever gets played.

OK. Seems they have somehow wangled 150 home supporters in Tier 3. Millbrook had a good run and are having a good stab in SWPL(E). Better be prepared to move up, oh no, don’t bother, another season voided is coming.

15% home support in tier 3 so an actual FA rule ! It's bizarre and there was more like 300 in there Saturday

it's been a great run in the vase but we move on back to business now and some league action 😃👍

If the French won’t allow lorry drivers across the channel to collect supplies, what chance football players? They’re trying to starve us of both food and footie! Happy Brexit 🇬🇧🥬🛳🤾🏻‍♂️🇪🇺

And if Boris gives in to Macron’s fishing demands, the barriers would be raised immediately. Cynic? Me?

Politics and football go hand in hand at this time.

Will the politicians let us finish the season...aka Boris the clown.

Can we all stop referring to him as "Boris", it's Boris Johnson, Johnson or the Prime Minister. Calling him merely "Boris" suggests he's your mate, which he most definitely isn't.

You mean he doesn't want to be friends with the public? Quite right too... there is a virus going around.

I quite like "BoJo" (the name). Although, I've got another name for him. Begins with "t" and ends in "t" (and I like to stay 2m away from those too). ;)

(Apologies if anyone found that a little offensive).

What on earth is wrong with Tweet? I try and keep well away from twitterers too. I believe that the President of the USA was partial to this form of communication!
