Just four games lost due to the weather, not too bad considering, well done and 'thank you' to all the clubs that pressed on regardless and got the games played, i'm sure conditions were far from ideal on a lot of pitches hopefully they will all be recovered for next Saturday.

St Breward 1 Losty 1

Scrapy game. Breward scored about 20 seconds in missed the goal. Good response initially Jordan Cummings getting the leveler about half way through the 1st half with a lovely run and finish.

2nd half saw alot of changes from losty in personal trying to get people game time which didn't help our rhythm going forwards. Chances few and far between lots of turnovers of possession and misplaced passes, and a few late tackles added into the mix.

credit to both keepers who made good saves this afternoon to keep the score level

Point possibly a fair result although losty will be gutted to not have taken all 3 this afternoon

Well said XB

St Breward 1 Losty 1

After falling behind before i had touched the ball we responded well and equalised soon after. The rest of the game was a good advert for Duchy League football with good football played by both sides and plenty of hard work and effort from all concerned. Thanks to ref Chris Nicholls and it was great to see my old mate Steve Kay in the club after the match. It was great to be back playing again and i look forward to seeing Wayne and his good young team in the return fixture at ours.

Nanpean 6 GSM Utd 1

A bad day at the office for GSM Utd ended in a heavy defeat. Things could have been different had the ref awarded a penalty against a Nanpean defender for handball as he slid in to try to block a low cross in to the box within 30 secs of the kick-off. The ref waved away the appeals and Nanpean swept the ball forward and a ball between 2 defenders put their striker through on goal, where he duly finished. Things didn't get any better as 2 mins later Nanpean doubled their lead as a scuffed cross from the left eluded the GSM defence, finding a Nanpean player free at the far post to tuck the ball away. 12 mins and the first of 3 first half penalties was awarded to Nanpean. A slight coming together between GSM defender Gav Smith and a Nanpean player, saw the Nanpean player go to ground. There didn't appear much in it but the ref pointed straight to the spot. The penalty was dispatched to the keepers left 3-0 Nanpean. GSM's first glimpse of a chance came when a free kick from the left was head just wide by Matt Trethewey. GSM were again caught out from a long ball of the top which released the Nanpean 11 one on one with Matt Parker in the GSM goal. The Nanpean 11 attempted to round the keeper but went down under the challenge. Once again the ref adjudging it a foul despite the GSM protests. Matt Parker guessed the right way as he had with the first but was out of his reach as it nestled in to the left hand corner of the goal. It was almost 5 moments later as a free kick from the edge of the D was struck well towards goal but Matt parker's finger tips directed it on to the bar. 40 mins in and GSM thought they had opened their account when Scott Laughton struck a beautiful left foot free kick towards goal. The Nanpean keeper was grasping thin air as the ball crashed off the crossbar and then the post before appearing to drop over the line before bouncing out where George Brown was unable to put the ball over the line. Final minute of the half and another long ball over the top had Nanpean 11 bearing down on goal before going down inside the area under pressure from the covering defender. No hesitation from the ref in pointing to the spot and with the final kick of the first half Nanpean made it 5-0

Second half started with GSM on the front foot and starting to get their passing game going. This brought them some reward as they pushed the Nanpean defence back with Jordan Roger scoring with a left foot drive from the edge of the area after a layoff from Ben Colquhoun. GSM continued to prod and probe looking for another goal but unable to test the Nanpean goalkeeper. Matt Trethewey having the best opportunity as he once again met a Scott Laughton free kick 8 yards out but put his header over the bar. GSM had looked a lot more solid at the back in the second half but after 70 mins a misplaced clearance from Matt Parker went straight to the Nanpean forward who slotted a right foot shot for number 6.

Good luck to Nanpean for the rest of the season and to the ref and linos.
