Do you know if St Day Reserves and Thirds are affected because of this? I've heard it's a St Day player that's tested positive and as a result, the game has rightfully been postponed. One would assume that St Day train together so does this mean that their reserves (v Marazion) and Thirds (v Dropship) should also be postponed on the basis one of these players could have contracted it? From the information I have Dave the thirds are not affected. It's unlikely, but not impossible, that the Reserve team are affected but the respective League Officials were copied in on my cancellation e-mail so no doubt will be asking the right questions if they haven't done so already. I would also add that St Day have been absolutely spot on in the way they have dealt with this so if there was an issue with their other teams the conversations will have been had. willy7 and Dave Bartlam

Awesome, thanks Steve. We have all the necessary measures in place at our place - Track and trace, self assessment, temperature checks, staggered changing facilities etc so hopefully we will do all we can. Does this mean that both their firsts and reserves have to self isolate and so none of them can play for their thirds? Excuse the naivity however I want to ensure that my players and club (and families) aren't going to be affected by it.

Mark
Hi all, Unfortunately our first team game is OFF tomorrow due to a precaution on our part, as one of our players and his family are all showing symptoms. We are awaiting test results and do not know if it is positive or negative so lets not turn into the BBC and start scaremongering. The FA guidelines state that training and matches do not count towards close contact, but we as a club are taking precautions due to the close contact of players (4 at a time) in changing rooms, car sharing of said player and him being within our clubhouse after the game. Clubhouse CCTV has been checked at the player has sat near 4 first team players throughout the course of the evening, these will now self isolate until we have the test results as per national guidelines. To reassure everyone, the club, is taking precautions tomorrow for our own members and of course the rest of the footballing community. On Tuesday our first and second team trained together and our thirds trained separately therefore their should be no issue with them playing tomorrow. However the combination league have decided to take precautions too and cancel the combination league match. Although under FA guidance this is not necessary they are right to take precautions as we are dealing with life not just a game of football. There is every possibility as well, that the said player has not contracted the virus until after Tuesday, if he has even contracted it at all, but lets be safe rather than sorry. People who do not show symptoms or who have not been in close contact with any know person do not need to self isolate. Our third team are healthy thanks to many players from the youth stepping through. The management have a head ache every week picking a team due to a healthy squad numbers. I do not think late on a Friday night they need even further headaches trying to fit in "higher league players" into an already full squad. Obviously with the predicted weather forecast we may not all play anyway.😂 Dave Bartlam, Dave Deacon, Foul Throw 3 and 1 other

Postman Pat
Redruth United 1 (0) Mousehole 3 (2) the first half was played in awful conditions driving rain and a strong wind, and the away team were passing and pressing causing the home team to make mistakes. They deservedly lead 2 nil at half time. The second half started with the rain holding off and more even. Mousehole had one chance when they could have scored 3 times but somehow didn’t. They then scored a third. For their endeavour Redruth got a conciliation goal from a well taken penalty in the last 5 minutes from Andy Bishop. Well done to 16 year old HarrIson and also Edi on their debuts today.
Dave Deacon
Illogan RBL 6 (Myers 2, Wolstencroft, Budge, OG, Oliver) Porthleven Res 0 Impressive display by the home side, although visitors probably worthy of a goal! Two early goals from Aaron Myers, a 4th minute free-kick clipped in from out wide and a second lifted over keeper Ryan Bull. Illogan's third was a peach of a goal from Paul Wolstencroft! 35 yards out and a missile of a free-kick hit so hard and straight that although Bull was right behind it, proved unstoppable! Ash Stidwell was a threat upfront for Port and unlucky with a couple in the first-half - bringing a save out of Barrie Wyatt for one and another hitting the cross-bar and seeing the ball bounce out and away from goal! Illogan kept going with another 3 in the second half. CJ Budge made the most of a ball coming to him from a blocked free-kick to slot it home giving the keeper no chance, the fifth was following a good move forward with a Knuckey right wing cross being sliced into his own net by a Port defender and the sixth was another from just outside the box from anton Oliver, being set up after a good run from Macaulay Negus. With Mullion losing today, it means Illogan are the only unbeaten side and in fact have a 100% record after 7 games.
ECPL
Crazy game at Saltash Borough 5-1 up at half time and cruising and then the roof fell in for a last minute Callington goal to make it 5-5. Dave Deacon
BAGMAN
Good win for Helston Reserves v Mullion today played on a great surface despite the rain. Obviously being able to call in first team players helped Helston but plaudits must go to new GK and CH for Helston who were outstanding! Good, hard game played in the right spirit! Local_Footy_Lad
Illogan flying at the moment, Redruth & St Day looking like they will be up there, watched the game and good hard fought even match up! And now Helston looking very sharp against Mullion, with some good new signings! What’s happening on the South Coast though.. Penryn look a shambles of the side from last season, Porthleven not at the races and Falmouth..? I read yesterday that Falmouth have lost a few senior players, including their first team captain. Also now a few players inc captain leaving the reserves and also the club chairman stepping down, trouble in paradise.. I watched a few games early doors and I’m not surprised that they are where they are, young side gifting goals away..
