St Agnes took the lead mid way through the first half after the midfield runner wasn’t tracked and had an easy finish from a throw in.
Culdrose had the majority of the ball but struggled in the final third throughout the game. The equaliser was via a well taken 30 yard free kick from Joe Paterson, but that was the only goal they managed surprisingly after all the chances and possession. St Agnes seemed happy with the point and Culdrose come away frustrated.

Very well reffed by Charlie Philpott, controlled the game brilliantly and explaining his decisions.

Penryn (Shackley x2) 2 - 1 St Day

With gale force winds blowing from end to end this was a game of 2 halves. Penryn started slowly, but enjoyed the lions share of possession & territory due to the advantage of playing with the wind. Not a lot of football was played but Penryn did come close when Keir Dent was put in on goal, but saw his lob sail over the bar. 5 minutes later Jason Roberts saw his 1 on 1 well saved after great work from Chris Shackley who cut in from the left & laid it back on a plate. Penryn were in control but St Day rattled the bar themselves from close range after a great passing move down the right. Ryn took the lead after 35 minutes when captain Glen Jeffrey played a lovely 40 yard ball to Chris Shackley, who brought it down just outside the box, turned the 2 defenders inside out before firing into the top corner from 12 yards. Ryn went in deserved leaders at ht. Despite playing against the wind, Ryn came out flying in the 2nd half & were well on top when Keir Dent & Jason Roberts linked well, with Dent seeing his shot well saved but the ball fell to Shackley who stroked the ball into the bottom corner for 2-0. Penryn thought they had made it 3-0 shortly after when Ryan Caddy backhealed through the keepers legs from 5 yards after a shot from Shackley. Despite St Day having a player on the line the linesman gave offside & the score remained 2-0. With both teams making subs it was St Day came on strong as the 2nd half progressed, seeing a goal of their own chalked off for offside (which they were equally unhappy with), with 15minutes to go they got the goal that had been coming, when Adam Solomon waltzed through the tiring Ryn defence before setting up Matt Wysocki who finished well. With the wind in their face, Penryn struggled to get out of their half as St Day dominated the final stages of the game, but the equaliser never came & Penryn were relieved/delighted to hear the final whistle.

Mom Chris Shackley - the clinical striker was the difference between the 2 teams.

Very tight hard fought game, good luck to St Day for the season.
