1ofthekids
Watching the pendeen vs St Agnes game. 4-0 pendeen. Truth be told both teams would struggle in trelawny 2 against the likes of Chacewater etc. Good turnout though! Wingers shins
GeorgeMc
Culdrose scorers; Charlie Cuss, Lucas Terceiro. Culdrose made hard work of the win but take the 3 points back to the Bill Pearce Sports pavilions. Went one nil down early on in the first half before getting a goal back with some good link up play from the midfield to our wide right and luckily it crept in. Could have went either way in the first half, Holland using the wind well. Into the second half, the game became stretched and both had chances. Culdrose score with 10 to go with a great finish into the bottom corner and managed to hold on with Holmans striker hitting the post after a great challenge by the backtracking defender doing enough in the last few mins. Ref did very well and talked through his decisions, utilising the captains as required. Hopefully the Home linesman’s arm isn’t too sore Tomorrow after being well used every time Culdrose we’re through on goal. 🤭🤣

Glen Patterson
Penryn (Shackley, Southeard) 2-3 Hayle A decent game for the neutral, both sides fought till the end & it could have gone either way. Penryn without Jason Roberts, Keir Dent, Lewis Ellis, Matt Mcilroy & Hal Davis knew it would be a tall order. We started the stronger & had a few decent chances from corners that came to nothing. Ryn forward Sam Connolly got put through clear on goal after 20 mins but saw his effort well saved by the keeper. Half way through the 1st half Elliot Baker made a break down the right, put a nice cross to Chris Shackley who took it down on the edge of the box on the left, beat 2 men & fired home for 1-0. As the half progressed Hayle took over were in control & Penryn were happy to hear the half time whistle. The 2nd half started the same as the 1st with Penryn in control, on the hour mark with Hayle running out of ideas an underhit back pass from the Ryn cb put the Hayle forward in, Adam Robathan saved well but the Hayle boys were more alert & smashed in the rebound for 1-1. As they did late in the 1st half Hayle then took control, with Ryn on the back foot. Ryn still looked dangerous on the break & took the lead again after a nice run down the right from Alex Welford who played an in perfect ball for Brad Southeard to fire in from 15 yards. Hayle remained on top & were awarded a soft penalty when Dan Lord appeared to make decent tackle to knock the ball out for a corner but the ref deceided he didn't touch the ball & awarded a pen. Adam Robathan then made a great save & penryn felt justice was served. 5 minutes later Hayle equalised when their #10 picked up the ball on the right, beat 2 men & fired into the top corner from 35 yards. Hayle were then awarded another penalty, this time stone wall, but ryn were lucky as it was dragged wide. Both teams then looked for the winner in the last 10, with myself missing a 1 on 1 aswell as smashing a header a few inches over after a cross from Chris Shackley. Hayle won the game 5 mins from time when their #9, who was a threat all game, banged his 2nd with a bullet header from a corner. A very good game played by 2 decent sides, neither team would have felt they deserved to lose & both would feel they had enough chances to kill the game off. Best of luck to Hayle for the season, looking forward to the return fixture. TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
