Carharrack 3, Mount Ambrose 2

Bit of a close one, this, with Ambrose probably feeling hard done-by at the end. They led at half time through a splendid free kick in just the 10th minute but couldn't add to it and by half time Carharrack had seen more of the ball and more chances. 2nd half and playing down the slope Carharrack looked more dangerous and were level on 52 when Elliot Carveth drove home from outside the box. Just 6 minutes later and Carharrack took the lead through Dylan Tiddy and a hatful of goals looked likely; except Carharrack became a bit flat. Perhaps complacency took over: they expected to win and took the pressure off. Chances to extend their lead came and went and it was almost inevitable that Ambrose equalised on 86. I was away from the pitch looking for an errant ball so can't say anything about the goal! Then I was hoping that Carharrack could hold out for the draw but on 90+3 a free kick was awarded to them - was it a foul or not? If it hadn't been given I wouldn't have felt miffed but it was given and the kick was very good, back of the net and three points. Can't give you the name.

A much better game than last week and Ambrose can count themselves unlucky on the day,

Bacon Butties back, hooray.

Decently reffed, up to 40 in attendance, lovely day, pitch looking really good, went home happy!

Took another trip to Ting tang this afternoon. First 20 minutes was a tight came however for the rest of the game Carharrack dominated. Unlucky they didn’t win by more goals at the final whistle! Mount Ambrose seemed to be fairly sore losers, loud when they were winning/ drawing, however couldn’t here a word when they were losing. Went back the the trusty old social after the game and disappointing to not see one mount Ambrose player there!

Pitch was looking lovely! Looking forward to the next game.

Praze 0-1 Constantine

constantine will be up there at the end of the season, very good squad of players. Although from a bias perspective Praze were the better side for 65% of it and should’ve won the games but the finishing just wasn’t there today.

One goal from senior footballer Kayne Trevaskis and a saved penalty from Adam Rosevear was the only real chances that the away side had today, you could tell they were missing Liam Dent up front. As were Praze with Danny Ford also not available.

Good game of football however but division one is going to be a cracker for 20/21!

Quality game to watch, both teams looking very good for div 1. Praze showing they will be competing with St Just and Constantine at the top.

Div 2:
St Erme 0 - 1 Chacewater.

Not the prettiest of games and had to rely on a penalty for our goal (Matty Davis).  Not sure if St Erme had a shot on target but remained threatening for the full 90 minutes.

Happy to come away with the points.

Good group of lads, looking forward to the reverse fixture!

Wondering how it's £1.80 for a can of coke though! xD

Er....

This IS Trelawney League, isn't it, or have I slipped into a parallel universe?

Run away brain or run away fingers possibly, but mouth? No, unless he rang you up for a quick brag!

A few mistakes, Darren ! My reporter tells me it would have been ten-nil without your flag and our strikers laughing so much they fell over when trying to shoot. Obviously, for the truth we all need to await Paul's match report, you being West Penwith's strongest and most important senior club and all that. Well done to your boys for turning out yesterday. No worries, eh, you weren't at home to Frogpool. Yes, Tom, my old beaut, yes, this is the Trelawney League, I'm just trying to breathe in some life and merriment to show there is life beyond the astonishing value of Ting Tang burgers in staving off starvation when Tory Brexit sells out all the naive Little Blitish racists by giving away all "our" fish. To say nothing, of course, of Boris deWaffle and Matt Handjob encouraging opening up Cornwall to hordes of plague bearing locusts, stripping Truro Waitrose of vanilla pods and felafel. Arsene, when we play Praze, may the better side win. That's just a football match. St Just and Smacktown, that's a different kind of cultural separation. When the Spanish burned out Penzance, St Justers welcomed the invaders with open arms. That's why so many of us are short and dark. Penzance's imperialist arrogance inside and outside sport will never be forgiven. Look at the state of the place !

Nah,  we have plenty of Jagos (iago) and Mitchells (Miguel). I am a socialist internationalist, Mr. Dingo. For what it's worth, Mother was from Trevedra and Father from Marazion, so pretty exotic mixed race there. One distant ancestor came down from Shropshire, but the Pendeen Foghorn upset her nerves, going off all the time in those days, as you can imagine. Elder daughter's married a Chilean and gone to Dubai, he's of Spanish descent too. Probably got relatives up St Just already. My genes are all over the world, yo, I am like Covid 20.
