titans3 potreath res.3

what a game of football end to end stuff.excellent attitude from both teams.

after taking the lead in the 19th min titans then conceeded a goal straight from kickoff from an excellent shot down the hill.1-1 half time.in the 5th min of the second half portreath took the lead.this seemed to wake up the titans who put portreath under constant pressure and equalised thru a screamer from jay atkin the pressure continued and titans took the lead from dan perkins head at the far post.portreath to their credit never gave up and got their reward when kev endean stuck out a knee to redirect the ball past the goalkeeper.on reflection a draw was a fair result and a pleasure for me to referee.

well done to both teams you were a credit to mining 3 football :yahoo::thumbsup::drink: :c:

Cornish New Boys 0 Chacewater Res. 4

The scoreline does'nt really give a true reflection of the match as New Boys more than held there own for large portions of the game. But Chacewater finished off there chances and were 3 - 0 up at the break, and scored the fourth against the run of play in the second half. Both sides contributed to a very entertaining game and apart from a little bit of bother late on played in a good spirit!

Chacewater deserved winners but alot of positives for Cornish New Boys too

Gulval 4 Holmans 3rds 1

Jowan May

Lee Major

Neil Simcox

Chris Bowden for Gulval

Holmans scorer Neil Pitt (only thing i did right all game)

Game lost in first 20min as Holmans commited some basic errors which rondas lads took full advantage of. A spirited fightback in the next 70min resulted in a consolation goal however the 3 points went to Gulval as the relegation battle in mining 1 hots up

Goonhavern Res 0

REDRUTH UNITED 5

16 year old Nathan Taylor was the architect of Redruth’s 5 goal trouncing of Goonhavern, and in doing so deservedly earned Redruth’s Man of the Match.

Redruth scored their first goal within 10 minutes as Taylor angled a delightful ball from the right wing across to Guy Johnson who slotted the ball home after breaking clear from the static defence. Redruth then twice came close to scoring a 2nd goal with both Johnson and Justin James beating their markers and hitting the crossbar. Taylor then added to Redruth’s lead when Justin James chased down a ball on the far left, shaped to shoot across the goal and the strike fell neatly into Taylor’s path for 2-0.

James Petty was introduced for Redruth in the second half, and almost got himself on the scoresheet within 5 minutes but again the crossbar was the saviour as his shot rattled against it. Johnson notched his second goal as Taylor threaded a ball through for him and the youngster was on hand again to set up Justin James for goal number 4 with 20 minutes still remaining.

With Ryan Baber and Phil Nicholls dominating the midfield, Redruth looked in total control and a third goal for Johnson, again with Nathan Taylor influencing proceedings, with 10 minutes remaining eased Redruth to a comfortable win.

Threemilestone Res 4

REDRUTH UNITED RES 0

Redruth welcomed back former ‘legendary’ keeper David Jull after a 3 year absence but it wasn’t enough for the Reds to stop the league leaders from notching another victory. Chris Fable won man of the match for Redruth.
