Squad lists !

Recommended Posts

The squads for the Western League clubs could be found on the FA Full Time website (it was always interesting to see just how many players were signed on), hopefully the Peninsula League clubs will participate

A new season preview for each club showing "in's" "outs" and "retained" along the lines of what the Indy used to produce, would be welcome. No idea of who would put this together though.

That’s a a good idea. But means more time and effort from someone else and seems to be a lack of people that want to help run Cornish football these days

Is it really that much extra effort to put the squad details on the FA Full Time site? Can only be a good thing I would have thought ,( as Rocky pointed out) fans want to know which players are with each club.

If a league is using Whole Game to register their players as soon as a registration is approved it automatically adds the player to the Full-Time squad lists.  Extra effort by someone is only required if a league is still using a paper registration system.

Agree WOTP, the old Indy pre season supplement used to be a cracker. Knew virtually where every player had signed with a current team photo from a friendly to go with it, great stuff. Unfortunately the Indy these days hardly cover local football, it’s okay if you want to know all the ins and outs at Bournemouth and Bristol Rovers though! 🤔🙄

The Indy is expensive and not half as good as it use to be  i miss the supplement when it used to show all the team photos , Having the squad names would be a waste of time because loads of players say they are going to play for your team antd ime the season starts they have gone to someone flashing more money around i remember 1 player going to 3 diffrent clubs before the season started and you use to see him join 1 club next week hes gone to another club then hes gone back to where he started from

The Board of the SWPL agreed that the switch to fully utilise the FA portals would not happen until it was clear that ALL of the glitches and teething problems with Full Time, Whole Game and the Matchday App were addressed. It could happen in the not too distant future.

What glitches are these?

The new 'Platform for Football' will be rolled out soon which is a major upgrade to all of the current FA IT systems and ties them all in together much tighter.  It should also fix the few outstanding issues.  I've used Full-Time since 2009 and it is greatly improved from the early days.  Whole Game and the App are quite new and could have been better when rolled out shall we say.  They are now much better.  Hopefully this time the FA will have got the bugs out of the new system before they roll it out.

All players will have to register with an e-mail address from 21-22 season onward so the FA system(s) in use at the time will have to be used for that as a minimum.
