Trelawny Football League - Committee opportunities

Trelawny Football League

In these very challenging times, the Trelawny Football League naturally respects and understands that information from the FA and Cornwall FA will in due course be forthcoming in regard to the commencement of football within the county.

However, in looking forward to the time when once again football will be played, the League are currently seeking interest from anyone who might be interested in the undermentioned permanent posts which are part of the League Management structure and will play an important part in taking the League forward into next Season 2020/21 and beyond.

A brief guide is detailed below to give some idea of the responsibilities attached to each Post :-

1. LEAGUE SECRETARY  ---  the main point of contact for communications, convening & keeping record of all Meetings, controlling Affiliations (from  Member Clubs & to County F.A.), and addressing other administration  duties as & when needed or due.

2. REGISTRATION SECRETARY --- Players’ Registrations & Transfers ---   control, verification and maintenance of the League’s records and any relevant Statistics via the FA Whole Game/Full-Time Systems.  Liaison with Clubs, County & National FA’s and Fellow Members & Officers of the League.

3. RESULTS SECRETARY --- Match Results --- control, verification & maintenance of League records principally for League Tables again via the FA Whole Game/Full-Time Systems.  Liaison similar to that of the Registration Secretary (as above), with the addition of publication thereon when prudent opportunity arises in the press and/or social media.

Interested Persons will need to be competent in IT/Computer skills but training can be provided in particular for working with the FA Whole Game/Full-Time Systems.   Likewise, they should also have good communications skills as each post holder will be expected to work as a Team Member within the League’s Management Structure. Honorarium and reimbursement of expenses are also available.

In the first instance, we are just looking to see just who might be out there who would be interested in these roles and becoming part of a successful League that supports and promotes local football. If you are already actively involved with a club, you can still become involved with the League and even if it is not something for you, do you know of someone who could be interested? – if so please forward this to them!

All of these posts would be permanent appointments and would have to be agreed by the clubs at the AGM, so at this stage it really is just about showing an interest in one (or more) of these roles. If you are interested then please just send an email to Gerald Munden – Chairman of the Trelawny Football League expressing which post(s) you are interested in – thank you.
