Millbrook 1 Penryn 0

Recommended Posts

Lots of talking points in this one.

Two good penalty shouts turned down for Millbrook early on, then Penryn looked to have the ball over the line but the referee said no, as he didn't have a clear view.

Hard tackle just before half time by Millbrook captain earned a yellow card but Penryn management team were still saying it should have been red after the game. Great goal by Millbrook's John Wyatt who ran fully 30 yards evading tackle after tackle and finished superbly.

Near the end a Penryn player got two reds, one for dissent and a second for complaining about the first.

All in all though, on possesion, I think Millbrook deserved this win and, perhaps, wanted the three points a little more than Penryn.

I was at the game and think maybe over the 90 millbrook just shaded it.

2 poor sides though , i cant beileve penryn are near the top, niether team put anything together , it was hit and hope for 90% of the game ( and some players couldnt even do that )

dreadfull game and dreadfull standard which millbrook just shaded

Clean sheets win games.

If I am honest we didn't even manage that! The controversial effort by Penryn in the first half was probably over the line but play the whistle and all that.

Look at the Tavistock result yesterday and the result of Torpoint a couple of weeks ago against Wadebridge.

2 of the better teams in this league ,Port being well clear at the top.

Very poor league, poor standard, whoever comes up will have to improve a great deal.

The East league with Budleigh etc seems to be a lot stronger.
