Not the best highlights that you have put together in my opinion (am I am a big fan)

why was there music over the game highlights?

hard to see what Mr Massey was talking about, about the referee as the highlights didn’t show a single card (yellow or red)

JW

None were shown in highlights, but there were 15+ bookings, a sin bin and 2 reds

Yeah, I know. I didnt know whether you meant from someone who didnt watch it they wouldn't have known, or what is now apparent you knew there were bookings, but just dont know why they weren't shown in the highlights

Mr Massey moans about the amount of booking, saying 8/9 per team....a sin bin and x2 reds.....”highlights” don’t show any of that 🤷🏽‍♂️

Thanks Jeremy for your observations. I really appreciate feedback.

There are some valid reasons why I chose not to film in my conventional way with a commentator and tripod. One was the lack of a clear vantage point from which to capture the action without any restricted view and where there would be shelter from the elements. I was also keen to experiment with something different and film from a variety of angles off my new monopod which allows for this. I wanted to get in and amongst the F Troop, which I did for a while and it was magic. When you've dropped down the leagues from the National Vanarama League South it is great to get a game like this one full of incidents.

So it was never going to be the usual story-telling with all the main incidents (and yes, little of the ref)  - just some action cut to music I have used in the past. Some love it ( my students at Falmouth Uni seem to) whilst a friend of a good friend said that it sounded like a Scandinavian porn music. I am tempted to experiment with a second video where I cut the action I have to the audio and visuals of the F Troop, but how would that go down?

Normal service will resume shortly.

With what they were singing...not very well apparently!

They need to remember they are not the only ones in the ground,  and with snowflakes all around they'd better start learning or Falmouth will be in a lot of bother!

Be nice if it was mentioned that the Ftroop gave a rousing ovation to the Helston player who was carried off injured.  Come on Baks. .A few swear words in football chants that are sung in every ground in the country.  It feels like the Ftroop are bring judged by the synics every game. . People that are determined to find a negative to try and tarnish the f troop reputation.  It's sad really and I feel these comments are intended to drive  us away.  In fact it has the reverse effect and bonds us together.  The non f troop Falmouth Town fans that I've spoken absolutely love us.  We are our teams 12th man every game and we are here to stay.

EVERYWHERE WE GO! !!!

Slightly off topic... I am looking for someone to produce a promotional video for the West Cornwall Flexi League, is this something that would interest you?

There was me thinking the music was included to cover over the colourful language of the F Troop, what do I know.

You are of course correct Jeff swear words are part of the football supporters culture and we have to accept it or stay away which unfortunately is what more and more supporters are doing these days, especially parents with young families, you pay your money you make your choice. I have noticed regularly on tv during live match commentaries the producers turn down the chanting and sometimes apologize if any viewers have been offended by the language.

Finally I am not sure that interviews with team managers should be carried out whilst they are driving even though it is not illegal.

These comments are obviously my own personal opinions and not meant to offend anyone.

Piran - just a bit of feedback. I always watch your clips and enjoy them, even if I do find Mr Massey a bit of a marmite character. Didn’t enjoy this one as much as for me the format didn’t really show the highlights of the game, imo. The in car interview I thought was novel (ignoring driving issues) but the music and actual highlights were not as entertaining as usual (the ones on The Packet website were more football orientated)  All opinions and anything promoting local football has to be good

What a load of , if they weren’t there the language from the players would boom around and that’s probably worse , there does seem a lot of negative towards the f troop I’m not a town supporter but they are ace . Imagine how good it would be if all Cornish clubs had a group/crew like them .

Not up the town if that’s what utt.

but for sure up the troop

I think the majority of comments about the F troop have been positive, but when they eer on the side of controversy then as in life this is what is picked up on.

Good on the F troop I think but sometimes they need to engage their brains just a tad.

Flairs and fireworks a thing of the past, some of the songs and chants I'm hearing a bit near the knuckle for some.

Me, can't hear them anyway...lol, music, cant hear that either...lol

So carry on boys and girls but dont court controversy because the snowflakes are falling all around.

Get on Baks.  That's more like you lol. And remember the F-Troop is full of troopers from Falmouth /Penryn and all surrounding villages like the magificent granite city of Mabe which is my birth place.. I knew you loved us really although you are Penryn through and through.  I actually  played a few seasons for Penryn as a youngster and always look out for their results.

Baks,. We are here to stay. Loads of us walked away from the club many years ago, through different and varying reasons. I am guilty as charged,  but believe me when I say, we are not going anywhere. So take your spot near the top railings (when Penryn haven't got a game obviously) at the home of Cornish football and enjoy proceedings for many years to come. :)

I hope I have many years yet buddy.

As you say, Penryn first, then any game after that particularly Falmouth as there is still a big connection with all our old players (like watching Penryn reserves really) almost anywhere then...football lover me.

Is it still ok to call a bald man Baldy Older?, Alf Garnett had a lot to answer for. As for the F Troop Truro City had a simular following for many years, probably about twelve. I hope the Town are preparing for an influx of wheelchairs in the coming future.

You can call me what you like, I probably won't hear you anyway...lol

Bald, deaf and need glasses so anything you call me is ageism ...an offence payable by buying me a pint and having a laugh about it.🤣
