North Petherwin Res 5-3 Pensilva (aet)

Really enjoyed watching this one, visitors were 3-1 up before the come back to force extra time where a decider was found and even time for another (from indirect free kick in the box) right on the final whistle. Excellently reffed by Allan Lewis in his last adult game I the middle.

Junior cup
Gwinear 9-0 Falmouth DC
Professional display from the boys. Quality football and goals. Happy manager.

Billy Foster and Ash Mellows having a hat trick each. Josh Bevis, Sam Charlton and Barney Dagger completing the scoreline. Ash had 2 disallowed as well which would have given him 5.

Credit to DC, battled til the end and kept trying to play football, fair play to them.

Man of match - Sam Charlton. Superb display.
**** of the day - Derek Pickin. Red mist 🙄

No game next week which is a shame but gives us our injured lads a rest. Looking forward to the next draw.

Queens 4 - 4 Roche

Queens win 5 - 4 after penalties.

Roche will feel aggrieved after 4 times taking the lead and working their socks off as a team. Queens gave away a couple of silly goals and although went through can count themselves fortunate.

Andy Philp had a decent game as ref, has he made mistakes for both teams (he is human) but the game was played in a good spirit, with plenty of banter.

Not always easy picking out man of matches from a good team performance, but I thought Sam Burnett for Roche was outstanding on his birthday.

Good luck to Ian Stephens and Roche for the rest of the season, some really good youngsters coming through.
