TruMiller
Par Track saw us take on our old adversaries having played them in every division in our, often fortunate, progress up the leagues together. A tight, cagey first half saw Lee Budge score on his first start for the club. St Merryn are always dangerous when in the mood, so a few tweeks to add more controlled possession at half time saw us come out and focussed on adding to the half time 1-0 lead. Within five minutes we were 2-0 when Miles Gardner battled through and finished from 12 yards to mark a man of the match performance. On 70 minutes Glyn James finished off a Dean Dingle cross to seal 3 points as the heat took its toll on the games intensity. A great spirit pervaded the afternoon and the mutual respect was evident between the two clubs throughout. Before the game, on the visitors request, there was a minutes clapping out of respect for a family loss in our visitors ranks. A marker for the manner in which the game was played. Most enjoyable afternoon from our perspective and hope, result aside, St Merryn enjoyed their visit. Paul Collings
cornish leg end
Fair report keir Was a tough game in very hot conditions. With miles and glyn looking.fit and sharpe you have a.good chance to push on this year. Always good to play against your side who play football the correct way. Thought the ref was consistant all game too. Sensible to allow a water break. Good luck for the season. Competitive league this year sure you'll be up there. Best side won.
