Seen 2 good games this week. Penryn v Mousehole last Saturday was two teams both playing good football knocking the ball about on the deck using the lovely playing surface. The hosts creating lots of chances but came up against an inspired keeper and stout defending and the visitors were very quick on the break. Tuesday night was not quite as pretty on the eye but a bit faster paced at Perranporth v St.Day, especially the visitors who shut the hosts down quickly and physically and were really lively themselves with some clinical finishes. You can see Perran will be a good team but it all went against them last night really. Four decent sides, if this is the St.Piran league, long may it continue!! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘βš½οΈ

Agreed mark. I cought the last hour of hayle vs helston res last night. Feisty and hot game both teams battled hard. The ref was excellent let the play flow and actually spoke to both capts before showing cautions. Excellent game management. Also something ive not seen before he approached both managers at half time quietly and mention the players who where treading close to cautuons. There was a red however. The ref had no choice to give.

Hayle look very strong and flexible. Replacing some big names in the football world with other big names matty thomas coming on for coco liam mooney. Hayle looking defensively unbreakable, middle of the park was solid and attacking they were dangerous.

Helston however fielded a young team and were no push overs made good chances im sure with a couple more games they will be a dominant force.Β

It was nice to not see any of this sin bin non sence as there wasnt any dissent. The ref did have words with our manager but dont think it was anything serious.

Good luck to helston and i hope they have a very successful season. On to the next one.
