Football Agent Alex Black is the person the Pirates are employing as a consultant but who is effectively responsible for running TCFC on a day to day operational level.  He’s the guy that will be doing the hiring and firing.  It’s a strange arrangement at the club under the prates as there is no Chairman and no ‘football people’ on a board of three including New Zealand based Colin Groves.  Barring the first couple of home games of the season,  It’s unlikely you’ll get to meet any of these officials on a match day as  they will be looking after their other business and sporting interests. Instead club ‘volunteers’ will be drafted in to fulfill match day official duties.  It seems from this press item from a few years ago that Mr Black was not uniformly liked within the industry being quoted as  ”…the muppet who is a super-agent in his own mind”  He’s certainly made plenty of money as a professional football agent and City fans will be hopeful that his experience will have a positive influence on their football club as it seeks an immediate return to the National League with a move into the Stadium for Cornwall not too far away.
