Dave Deacon
From reading Facebook it sounds like Pelynt Football Club “have today given notice of our withdrawal from the Duchy League. Our club have provided many happy times for many people for a number of years within the Pelynt community and the local areas; however due to reasons beyond our control we are no longer in a position to continue. Much effort has been made by the committee to avoid this outcome but it became apparent this was not possible. We would like to thank all of our financial supporters (sponsors) over the years that have allowed us to survive as a football club, the fans that often in good number came along to have a chat, a laugh and occasionally enjoy the matches. And of course all players that have adorned our famous Pelynt FC kit. Whilst this is the end of the current chapter at Pelynt Football Club we have come back before and hopeful sometime in the future we will be back again.”
Die Hard
Sad times for Pelynt. They had a good side and I remember a striker in particular that used to score a lot of goals, short, dark haired chap and quick. Some tough players and great to watch. Billy Davies
I always enjoyed playing there and the great banter with the locals. I hope Pelynt are back in business soon. Die Hard and Columbia
Referee
Never reffed at Pelynt before but I have only ever heard positive comments about the club . Shame to see the demise of another grass roots club. Columbia and Die Hard

Die Hard
I watched them 6,7 years ago I suppose although I'm not sure. Liam Jones I think the striker was called. Quick, strong little guy. Maybe 10 years ago
Pledge
Very sad news. I attended a game with my mate Simon in November last year having driven past it many times whilst on holiday in the area. We had a great time with the locals, including some who were supporting Lanivet Inn. I hope to be able to go back one day. Columbia
