Any idea who scored the goals for Trispen today? Seems that things are improving a bit. I am sure that things will turn round soon. It will be a shame to see the last few years of effort to bring in the youth wasted and the first team ending up in the third division. Good luck to Danny for the rest of the season.

Andy,

Great result for your boys (St Agnes 2nds) at The Lizard, never an easy place to go. Looks as if things are going well in your first season. Keep up the good work, always look out for your results

Hi Luffy,

A Mixed season so far but battling performance yesterday at Lizard.

Started with seven defenders as 5 players called up to firsts. Getting there slowly.

Great attitude from all the lads so far. Biggest surprise is I've had to play 13 times so far in a season I expected to just watch from the side!

Garry Kay,

U likely to play next week? I think you are a year older than me! :smiley20:

what a game, lanner v porthleven, good battling hard crunching game, end to end game and great for div 3 football, can guarantee both sides going up to div2, both sides very equal and a draw would have been a fair result but lanner scored in the 90th minute by a cracking free kick, both sides wasted chances, great respect amongst the two sides and was a great game to take part in, well done to both teams, a pleasure to play in. good luck prthleven for the rest of the season.

Mousehole 1 - 0 Penryn

Scorer: Ross Trezise

Another very good & well fought game from Mousehole. Never gave up & playing well throu out the team.

When the goal finally came, it was a beauty from Ross Trezise, who curled a right footed shot into the top corner from wide on the left wing, easily 35 yards plus!!!!!!! :yahoo:

On to Holmans away next weekend & hopefully take our fine form onwards & up!!!!!

Truro City III 6 Carharrack 0

The weather was fine. The pitch was fine. The ref was ok and the ball was alright. There is no point looking for excuses, Carharrack were quite simply, outclassed. The most frustrating thing is that we know we can match any team on their day, unfortunately not on this one, as Carharrack went 6 nil down before the interval. Every team wishes to forget one match during a season and this was it. There was however a positive to take away and that was the second half performance, were we held are own and played some good football. Although with a large margin Truro could afford to hold back. Hopefully now RNAS Culdrose will feel the backlash of this defeat on Sat afternoon when the Carharrack spirit comes back with avengement!

Truro City Goalscorers - Liam Williams (2) and Alec Penrose (4)

Trsipen 2-3 Falmouth Albion

It was 2 points lost at the recreation ground on Saturday, due to some shocking refereeing decisions. Trispen’s defence was on unusually good form with again some superb goalkeeping by Trispen’s reserve keeper, Dave ‘The Cat’ Hill.

Falmouth took the lead midway through the first half with the 1st of the shocking decisions; the ball was pushed into the Trispen goal by the Falmouth Striker’s hand. Falmouth made it 2 on the stroke of half time with a cross from the left which was bundled over the line.

Falmouth made it 3-0 just after the break with a cross from the left which was partially cleared by the Trispen defence and volleyed in by the Falmouth striker for his hat-trick. This was the start of the Trispen fight back.

Trispen scored what the thought was their first which started with a good build up from the back, with Mark Mitchell breaking through the Falmouth defence and with only the goalkeeper to beat scored at the second attempt but he was ruled offside by the Referee’s assistant.

With only 25mins left Trispen scored their 1st with Elliott Jolly finishing off some good passing movements.

Elliott Jolly scored his 2nd of the day and his 10th of the season soon after again finishing of some good passing by Trispen.

It was all Trispen from then on but unfortunately time ran out, if there was another 10mins I am sure they would have won. Trispen are now showing signs of improvement, there was some good performance from the Trispen team in particular Elliott Jolly And their left back who they should stop giving grief to when on the pitch. I have seen him play a few times now and he is actually a better player then they give credit to.

Elliott getting two, sure that was in regulation time not when both teams had left the field.

If Els can keep scoring maybe they can get out of trouble.

Who is the left back at Trispen now?

It is also good to see young Mitchell playing well, he will be a really good player as he matures, probably better than his brother and that is saying something.

Now that Dave is in the sticks things will start picking up, or should I say picking out from the back on the net.

All the best lads.
